After trying their services for a number of months, I went to their marketing conference and found it completely below par--not even mildly helpful, poorly done. I requested to withdraw from their program because they did not provide quality services. To this they refused, charged me $14,000, and send me to collections.Business response

Dear Sirs,
The complaint that was filed was simply inaccurate.
First, the company and individual who filed the complaint engaged our company on October 28th, 2022 and negotiated a significant discount for our services ($7k) in exchange for a 24 month agreement. The client joined the program and shared on multiple occasions that he was very pleased with the value he received from the program. 4 months into the program he attended his first program live event and rated that event very highly, even referring us another business contact to our program.
We fulfilled on our all promises to this client, providing top grade service and value to him and his company.
Then in July of 2023 he emailed our office saying, My experience with **** has been great, but I'm afraid that sales have really suffered in these last 9 months and I'm no longer able to afford the monthly cost. I'm really sorry about that.
Notice he acknowledges that his experience with **** has been great
He did have a business reversal and when we reached out to him to help work through this with him he cut off communication with us and unilaterally breached our agreement. Further, he also initiated charge backs for several months of service we provided him.
At no point did he acknowledge that we had a clear agreement, or offer to work with us to settle this matter in a win win way. He simply broke the agreement. Had he shown a reasonable willingness to find a fair win win outcome we would have gladly worked with him. But we have a clear policy that when someone we are doing business with comes at us in a ************ win lose manner we will take the high road and simply hold to the original agreement we had with them. That is what we did in this case.
When we let him and his company know that we would honor the agreement, which included a clear provision for what we both agreed to do in the event of a breach on his part (i.e. liquidated damages), he ignored our requests to pay the final balance he owed us. In fact, he then turned it over to his attorney who wrote us a threatening letter saying that if we sent his delinquent account to collections that he would *** us.
We let him and his attorney know that we would simply hold him and us to the agreement. After this letter he filed this groundless BBB complaint.
It is our hope that he and his company do not treat their other vendors in this ************ manner. To any business reading this response, we'd be happy to share the chain of communication that clearly shows what happened in this matter, including this person's (we are not allowed to respond with a name in this post) written compliments to us raving about our program (up until the point where he simply unilaterally cancelled the contract and breached his side of it.)
Sincerely

PRIVATE TO BBB:
This complaint is a malicious complaint sparked because this person (*************************) breached our aggreement (I can send you this aggreement and other supporting evidence that it was HIM and his company that breached the agreement and NOT us). WHen we held him to the liquidated damages provision of our agreement, he then threatened us through his attorney. WHen that didn't work, he then filed this BBB complaint as a way to leverage our dropping of our collections efforts.
THis is not ethical behavior on his part.
As noted in my other response, he has shared in writing with us several positive reviews/feedback about us and our program. It was only after we wouldn't just let him unilaterally breach his agreement with us without paying us the agreed upon liquidated damages that he then changed his story about how we didn't do what we agreed to do.
Please let us know if you would like this evidence.
We ask that you do not post his inaccurate and misleading complaint on your site as it goes against the spirit of what the BBB stands for. It should allow ***************** to use your platform to try to leverage or damage a business who a) has met all its contractual obligations to him and b) whom he has clearly reviewed/complimented as providing a high quality service.
THank you,
*****
