I went there to have one tire replaced. I was told that it would cost 163 after taxes. I got there for 8:00 am. At 8:30 I was told that they'd like to do extra work (wheel alignment, suspension check etc) for extra costs. I refused. They then suggested I get and extra tire which would double my initial cost. I agreed. They then informed me that they broke a lugnut from my wheel trying to get my tire off. They told me it was my fault since they didn't think the tire had ever been replaced. I asked how much it would cost to fix it. They took about 10 min to tell me the cost which would be $200. I asked how it's that much and they just said that's the price to fix it. I asked again why it's my responsibility when they broke the part. Again they said it wasn't their fault, it was mine. And then they said the car wasn't safe to drive anymore until it was fixed. So I told them to change the one tire as originally asked and fix the lugnut. They then said that if they break any other part it, they will charge me to fix that as well. I asked how much that would be and they said $20 per lugnut. So they began work on the car around 9:00 am. At 10:00 am they informed me it was all done. I asked again how one lugnut was $200 and each additional would be $20? They said they were all $20. The $200 was the lugnut plus 90 min service charge. I said but you only worked on the car for 60 min plus all you're workers were constantly standing around talking to each other. Plus I saw that my car was driven out of your garage 10 min ago. So why am I paying 90 min work when you've barely touched it for 60 min? He said that I brought my car in at 8:00 am so their timing is accurate. This is a warning to whoever goes to the Canadian Tire in Ajax Ontario. *************************************************************** ******************************** This behaviour is extremely unacceptable. *************************
