This company is a **** just as the reviews by customers indicate. They took my money via etransfer from what I thought was a legitatmate site. Then, just as other customer reviews state, I received an email stating it's on back order and offered me a 5% discount. I stated in their comment box when I ordered the item, I would need it in a timely manner as it was for an event. Due to the it now being on back order, I cancelled the ordered. They said I would get a refund but I have received nothing and all communication has ceased. Please help.Initial Complaint

Hello, I ordered some trousers from this store online in April or May 2023. First I received an email that the item is backordered. I agreed to wait for the item. After a few more weeks I asked for a refund and it was approved. The refund was never issued and my first request to check on the process were answered with the request to "wait a few more days". I waited several weeks and after that my emails were not answered any more. The amount was small, about $60 but the business practice is outrageous. There are a few google reviews with people describing the same issue, although the address for the business which is shown after a google search for the business name does not match with the address shown on the website (www.shopsmartcanada.com). I have attached screen shots of my email communication starting with the first request for order status. I don't want you to waste your time for an issue with such a small amount but I am wondering if there might be a lot more people who have been treated the same way and if this store is actually delivering any orders. Hi, Jun 24/23 I purchased an in-stock television from their website, they emailed to let me know the it was out of stock July 11 and offered a further 5% discount for waiting. I had also noticed the ** manufacturers website also claimed a high volume of orders and delayed shipments although it was shown as in stock on the Shop Smart website at time of order. I continued to ask for updates and have asked for the order to be cancelled with no replies. I had not noticed my credit card was charged although the item was never in-stock or shipped. On August 29, 2023 I placed an online order for ****** ***** Men's Straight Fit Jeans and paid on ***** On Sept 14, 2023 I sent an email for an ETA on the order. I received a reply Sept 15, from ****************** at Shop Smart Canada that it would be 1-2 weeks. On Oct 17, 2023 I sent an email to cancel the order and requested a refund. Oct 17, 2023 I received an email from ************************ approving the refund. Dec 14, 2023 I sent an email enquiring where my refund was. Dec 15, 2023 I received email from ************************ apologizing for delay and asking me to wait a few more days. I have still not received my refund and I have sent 5 emails asking where my refund is and have had noone respond. I have checked my **** and there is no refund up until today, March 13, 2024.Initial Complaint

On Friday, Sept 15th, 2023 I placed an order for an air fryer for my workplace. The money was charged to my credit card. On Tuesday Sept 19th I was informed that the product was out of stock, would be back in stock within 14 days, and they would provide a 5% discount at the time of shipping. On Oct 4 I emailed to ask about the order. They replied on Oct 5th saying it was still back-ordered, asked if I wanted to continue with the order or take a refund. At the time I said to continue. On Nov 9th I asked again about the status, they replied the same day and said it was out of stock and did I want to cancel the order. On Nov 21st I wrote and asked them to cancel the order and refund my credit card.Nov 22nd they emailed, said my request was approved and that I would have a refund within 5-7 business days. Dec 3rd I emailed about status of refund. Dec 4th reply from them was to wait a few more days.Dec 8th I emailed to ask again, no reply this time.Dec 12th I emailed again, no reply.Initial Complaint

I purchased 3 pairs of pants on their online site and received confirmation (Order #*****) that they were getting my order ready to ship on september 6, 2023. The payment showed up right away on my credit card bill. On september 21st I requested an update on order status and I received both a phone call and an email apologizing for the delay and offering me a 10% discount if I was willing to wait 1-2 weeks for the products to come back in stock. I emailed again on October 8th asking for a status update and they said that it may take another 1-2 weeks but to let them know if I preferred to cancel and they would issue a refund. I said I would wait. On November 8th, I emailed them to say it had now been too long and unless my order was ready to ship imminently I would like them to cancel it and issue me a refund. They emailed back right away to say that my request for refund had been approved and that I would get an email confirming it and should see the refund in 5-7 business days. On November 25th, I emailed them to say I had not yet received the refund. They responded on the 27th that the order had been canceled and that I should just wait f ew more days. On November 30th, I followed up again and asked them to escalate my request for refund right away. I never heard back. I followed up again on December 5th and have not heard anthing since November 27th. I then disputed the credit card charge in early January (I was unable to do it while overseas in December due to the banks' website) but was told by my bank that too much time had passed and that my only recourse is to go through BBB.Initial Complaint

I have been patiently waiting for this table since November 11, 2023. I finally decided I had waited long enough and requested a firm shipping date and if one could not be provided then issue me a refund. This was done January 4, 2024. As of this date I have yet to receive a reply. I would like to cancel my order and receive a full refund.
