ZERO stars is too much. Brutal customer service from this dealership. Initially bought a Ioniq Hybrid that was serviced at Pathway. With just under 95,000km, the car stopped working. Brought for service, after 1 month of changing parts, still nothing was found as the cause. With the warranty ending I decided to take a hit on selling the car to get a new vehicle. Went for the 2022 Tucson Hybrid. BIG MISTAKE! Had a class 4 hitch installed. Problems with the hitch wires started immediately. It would not work. Told them about the issue and was told I didn't know how to use it. Tech inspected and said all was working. I went into the shop and low and behold, it was NOT working! Replaced something and issue was fixed. That same winter, approx 20,000km on the car, the Electronic parking break sensor light in the dash popped up. Towed to Pathway, "fixed" and got the car back only to have the issue persist. Towed it back 3x. Finally changed the *** completely after telling me it was fixed the first time.Fast forward to now... 80,000km. Rear turning light not working, burnt bulb right? Nope! The fan for the radiator turns on AFTER the car is turned off until the battery dies. Bring it in to get looked at, they can't figure out the issue after 2 weeks. I had to ask if there were recalls, to which I was told no. Then 5 minutes later, was told there were 3 and their system for checking recalls was not working when they initially checked. While waiting in waiting room, saw there were trailer wiring issues for similar Hyundai Hybrid vehicles causing electrical issues. This was a ****** search. Brought it up to them and THEN they looked into that part and it was found to be faulty. 2 weeks later, after multiple "calls" to Hyundai "high tech" issue has yet to be diagnosed. BUT, get this, there are no faults anymore and I will be getting my car back. They have no clue, no fix but the codes are gone so all is good! Guess it will be towed again in the near future. I'M DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED WITH PATHWAY. THE NEXT AFTER PURCHASING MY SANTA FE, A STRANGE AND LOUD NOISE EMERGED FROM BENEATH THE **** DESPITE INITIALLY DISMISSING IT AS A COLD START BY ONE OF THE MANAGERS, IT PERSISTED AND WORSENED. PATHWAY REFUSED TO INSPECT THE **** SO I HAD TO PAY FOR THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO DO SO. IT TURNS OUT, THE REAR MUFFLER CANISTER IS RUSTED, CAUSING THE ****** HOWEVER, NEITHER PATHWAY NOR THE AFTERMARKET INSURANCE I WAS URGED TO BUY ARE WILLING TO COVER THE COST. I'LL USE ALL AVAILABLE LEGAL MEANS TO ENSURE MY CAR IS FIXED, INCLUDING ORGANIZING PROTESTS WITH MY FAMILY AND KIDS IN FRONT OF THEIR BUILDING EVERY DAY.Review from Harry M

Zero stars. They will deny all of this but they deceived me in the way they quoted a price for my trade in. The sales person showed me a figure that was less than what asked for but I decided to accept it. This typed figure was on a folded piece of paper that was hiding the information that they were using the so called tax savings to arrive at the figure they showed me. He never said that's how they got the number. My huge mistake was I missed this fact when I signed the contract, in that it was ***** less than the amount he showed me. Yes, that was my fault and I never would have signed if I caught it. While to prove this as fraud becomes his word against mine but this is at the VERY LEAST SNEAKY AND DECEPTIVE.The F and I guy also pushed very hard for the additional warranty which I had declined in my meeting with the sales person. I have somewhat "bruised credit". He told me that the finance company would not even make an offer if I didn't accept the warranty.That's arguably fraud. Definitely inaccurate and a flat out lie. I checked with the people who took the loan and they said it would not impact their decision. I also spoke with two other F and I people and one actually called it fraud.At delivery the vehicle was not clean, inside windshield covered in what I think is Armor All. The rear compartment was not vacuumed. For a safety they did 2 tires, not 4. And the two tires they installed did not even have valve stem caps. I've bought dozens of vehicles from various dealers in my 70 years but have never before been so furious both with myself and the horrible overall experience with Pathway Hyundai. *********************Pathway Hyundai Response

As discussed and reviewed this week in speaking with *************************. The trade value was presented with tax benefits amount included. This was fully disclosed on day or purchase and acknowledged. We safety check all of our used vehicles and often will replace two of the four tires if that is what is called for. This vehicle left our lot with a correct safety and backed by a licensed technician. The discussion regarding approval from the finance company was not tied to having a warranty and was not presented this way. ***************** worked tirelessly with the financial institution to gain approval so you could take a loan for this vehicle. All dealings with ***** have been clarified this past week.Review from Johanne G

Very unsatisfied with my new vehicle purchase. I will give them credit for providing me a top trade in value but went down hill from there. The vehicle that I ended up buying was misrepresented in many ways. A deal breaker for me was having a vehicle that could not tow our tent trailer for family trips... I was reassured that it could.. I paid $1300 extra for the tow hitch. On delivery, the towing capacity was significantly less and it couldn't pull my trailer after all. I told the rep this was a deal breaker and she told me that it was too late and I would just have to sell my trailer. No compensation for the lie to get a sale, just sell our trailer instead. I would have never bought this vehicle had I known and definitely would never have paid extra for a hitch that I couldn't use.In addition to this, features were missing that I was told it had... mine things that I could live with but still a misrepresentation.Next, on delivery they messed up filing with the *** and registered the wrong vehicle number completely so I couldn't get the plates or ownership until the following day. I had to leave with dealer plates. We came from 6hrs away so luckily we were staying in town and could do that.... also no compensation for that. Ironically, when we came the next day to get the plates put on, they couldn't because their mounting brackets were on back order. Along with the touch up pen that I was promised to fix the blemishes on the front bumper. A sensor warning that covers half the display screen came on 5 mins after leaving the dealership and I was told that I would just have to live with it until the next navigation update happens. They neglected to mention that to me... apparently a known issue, yet took another couple hours waiting at the dealership for nothing.I listed all my issues with a senior employee only to be told my sales rep was new and so these things happen... really? Customer was advised of towing capacity on purchase and made the decision to go ahead with purchase. We did run into a hiccup with the licensing that was rectified and we were able to finalize delivery. This issue has been resolved since July.Review from Mike C

**************** is pathetic. No one returns calls or emails. Even wrote to the owner and the rest of the chain of command yet no one has replied to my emails. The windshield on my SUV was damaged June 6 and I reported the same day. The issue is going on a full month and still no results. No one seem to know if the hazard warranty covers broken windshield DESPITE me showing them the document that is does. It's like fighting tooth and nails just to get to speak with someone. I've been put on hold at times for over an hour with no one having the decency come back and offer assistance.Pathway Hyundai Response

My son purchased a 2015 ****** Sentra from this business a week ago. At no time were we informed that the air conditioning did not work. It is my understanding that this is a requirement under the Ontario Vehicle Sales Regulator. The vehicle was driven home from the dealership on Friday, May 7, 2023 and not driven again until Sunday, May 9, 2023 when it was noted that the air conditioning did not work. Follow up with the dealership resulted in the claim that it was functional at delivery and nothing further would be done. I find it hard to believe that this is the case and when I asked for paperwork to substantiate the claim I heard nothing further from the dealership. Be aware when dealing with this company. I would never buy another car from them again and am contemplating returning this one.Pathway Hyundai Response

The Dealership [Sales person, Manager] entered into a sales agreement with me on 5th October 2022 with a written and verbal promise of delivering the vehicle to me within 2 weeks. the dealership also ran a credit check on the same date with the promise of providing me financing for the vehicle After no communication further from their end, I called up on the 12th and 13th of October to check on the status of the purchase and I was informed by the manager that the vehicle would not be sold to me because apparently, the vehicle was to be sold to someone else[Original purchaser who backed out of the agreement previously. Due to this incident, I have missed out on a chance to purchase a vehicle at another dealership, and my credit has unnecessarily been impacted for no fault of mine. I feel that the dealership was not ethical in listing the car for sale without actually confirming that it was available in the first place.Pathway Hyundai Response

Good day. We apologize for this error regarding available inventory. The unit in question was indeed already sold to another customer prior to October 5th. In addition to this, there was a waiting list for that model where many others would have had the option to purchase long before anyone else. This was an mistake on our managers end and we sincerely apologize or this, We did offer a purchase rebate with additional incentives for another Hybrid model that was available for delivery, Customer declined out offer. This was the one and only time this type of mistake happened all year. We home these folks have were able to find another vehicle.
