I was charged $20 for fuel costs. I was charged $10 for them using their equipment to fix the problem. The original quote was $220 which I was told included these costs so I was not only charged for fuel and equipment in this $220 but then charged again. I was told that the fuel charge was needed to offset high gas prices and that I was lucky because many companies charge $45. This fuel charge is being levied by every Ottawa plumbing company. When I argued that I already pay higher gas prices I was told that the lady was sorry I was having a bad day. I told her I wasn't having a bad day, I was simply tired of companies shamelessly ripping off consumers. I was told never to call them again and that they would remove the $200 charge but not the $10 for equipment use.

************ called for service to unblock his kitchen sink. Cundell *********************************************** responded promptly and efficiently to **************** request and completed his service call without issue. ************ then complained after the fact upon receipt of his invoice regarding our fuel surcharge of $ ***** which is a standard charge we bill all our clients to offset the rising cost of fuel. We also charge for usage of equipment which is also a standard charge on ALL our service calls. When ************ called to complain we agreed to waive the $ ***** fuel surcharge, as well as, the $ ***** equipment usage as a goodwill discount. We have revised his invoice and sent it to him. He has a balance owing of $ ******. He was told of our rates when he booked the service call as he clearly states above his "quoted" price of $2*****.....this is our standard MINIMUM charge to send out a plumber which includes a $ ****** minimum charge for one hour of labour plus $ ***** fuel surcharge plus $ ***** for the equipment with the *** this comes to $ ******. Any parts used are extra of course and he had $ ***** of parts. He was not "double-charged" and he was fully aware of our price when he booked the call. In closing, if the client is unhappy with our charges he is welcome to take his business elsewhere in the future. The client in hindsight has no legitimate reason to complain to the BBB other than the fact that it seems he has other underlying issues unrelated to our service which is unfortunate.

My parents hired this company for a bathroom renovation. They brought their own contractors to do the job. It was a terrible experience. They sent them an invoice with more hours worked than they actually did, they marked up items 100% and when questioned abut it they refused to discuss it. They did some work for my aunt who lives in the same building as my parents and she paid them in cash. They however charged my parents for that work. Their secretary is the absolute worst, no manners or care for their customers. When i tried calling to talk about the invoice she refused to discuss it and hung up on me. They had to come back and redo the job as it was not well done. The entire experience was awful. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Stay away from them and do not hire them!

Cundell Plumbing and Heating supplied and installed a new shower unit for this individual's relatives.  This individual making the complaint was NEVER on site during the installation.  Cundell Plumbing and Heating completed the installation in good faith without issue.  We in no way had to return to redo the job!  The only real issue was getting paid for the services rendered - this is when the client started to complain and called the office a few times about the billing and we explained everything to them numerous times. We did not charge them for someone else's work.  The client in question and NOT the individual making this complaint is refusing to pay for work done.  Cundell Plumbing and Heating has been in business for 45 years.  We treat our clients professionally and with respect.  It is unfortunate that individuals such as this one can spread misinformation that is unfounded.  Cundell Plumbing and Heating denies all accusations made by this individual as we did NOT work for this person and we request a retraction as the comments are not based in truth.

Work was fine, worst customer service I have ever received will not be using or recommending Cundell moving forward.

We do not know who this person is.  They also left a review on ******** we responded to them there.  We don't have them in our system.  On the ****** review they say they have been trying to pay their invoice.  We are more than happy to help them, however, as mentioned we have never worked for this person unless the booking was under another name.  We would require an invoice number or more information to determine if they actually used our company.  I believe they are reviewing the wrong plumbing company.
