The company sent me a false email stating a code to be used for my order which at the time I had just left in the cart and did not complete it however when I tried to put the code there is no way to put it and I contacted customer service and they said that the code they sent me was not good for the purchase. It is the first order that I made with this company and it will be the last unfortunately misleading offer sent to my email.Books-A-Million, Inc. Response

I apologize for any difficulties you had with your order. The email was not false, and the discount can be used with items that are eligible. If you go to the site, you will see that it says, "item may not be eligible for special discounts or coupons".

We apologize for not fulfilling your order as you expected. There was a notice on the site that there was a limit of 10 per customer. Orders over this limit were canceled. We are looking to our supplier for inventory replenishment and if that happens, we will limit this as well so we can fulfill as many customer orders as we can.Review from moe j

booksamillion in *********************************************** is the worst place to shop/work. i was an employee for a year and the agm that is currently there and some staff treated me so awful i had to leave. i love books so i will still shop their and the assistant general manager has made me feel so unwelcome and even was talking about me to another employee while i was checking out. she not only was a awful manager and tried to change my time punches to say i didnt work as long as i did. she also flirts with a old emplyee that got rehired recently that is a minor. buy your books somewhere else and never try and work there or youll be treated awfully unless they like you.Books-A-Million, Inc. Awful..they gave out my credit card number to a magazine subscription that I have to cancel with out my permission!! Told me I was getting 3 free magazine s...When in fact it was a scam..Beware of there shady ways...I will never use any bank card there again I may never walk in there again..it's the only close book store to me..But I was shocked they can get away with this and have consultated a attorney.Books-A-Million, Inc. I will contact the customer to get resolved via email today. However, it should be noted that this is not a scam. The Magazines for Millionaires Program allows anyone using a credit or debit card to choose up to 3 of their favorite magazine selections to sample risk-free for two months. At checkout, you select up to three magazines and agree to the terms of the offer.
Approximately 2-3 weeks after the magazine order is processed, you are sent a postcard in the mail citing the magazine(s) chosen, the rate, date, and amount your credit or debit card will be charged, along with the Magazine for Millionaires toll-free customer service number.
At the end of the 2-month trial period, the card used for the initial purchase at Books-A-Million will be charged the first of two equal semiannual payments for each magazine selection. Any concern regarding your account can be resolved by calling Magazines for ***************************** at **************.Review from Dee F

My husband just came back from the *** in *******, ********* saying that he left his hand basket of *** merchandise on the counter for the employee to put back since the employee claimed there were no bags to put purchases in. He offered cloth bags to my husband for $2 each. Husband refused and says he will no shop there again. He said the cashier said there were no bags due to 'environmental concerns' yet *** sells books made of trees! Cloth bags still need to be maintained and are probably purchased from some sweat shop in *****. There is no sign stating you must bring your own bag or box. You just get surprised with that information at checkout. Bad business!Review from JIM S

i bought 8 books last month in person and they did not provide me with any bags ;they wanted me to buy bags to put the bags in; there is no policy written in the store and online for us to beware to bring our own bags or we need to purchase them ;what do i do since i was put in this embarrassing spot do i try to haul them and mess my back or do i have other customers to help me take them to my car or do i leave them there ? no unfortunately i paid for multiple bags ;PLEASE ADVERTISE AND **** US AHEAD OF TIME THAT YOU HAVE THIS POLICY ;THIS HAPPENED IN A STORE IN **************Books-A-Million, Inc. I preordered this book before its release date. The release date was 11/7. So why on earth did the merchant not release the order to ship until 11/10? I still dont have the book. What is the point of pre order if you dont get it on time. Never will I order from them again.Review from Douglas C

Worst online shopping experience I've literally ever had. I tried twice 1 day to order the black light baby clown funko pop and because of glitches I wasn't able to purchase it. 2 days later I try again and this time 4 different attemoat buythe same item and I keep getting "your cart is empty even though I literally just added it to the cart. So attempting tp buy it 6 times in total ,we'll I just am not going to buy it. Or anything from this website ever.Books-A-Million, Inc. Response

Was there once and was amazed with the book of interest of which can take a person to the limits of self knowledge if you applied it... I'll be there again once I get the funds to buy unless there is a way to borrow or rent by paying full price and able to return it in good condition for a refund...BAM could be the smartest move for your brain...
