When I say Rivendell Behavioral Health is misleading, that is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I entered in to what was supposed to be a 28 day substance abuse program. When I got there on the night of 8/24 everything seemed clean and laid back. A couple of days went on and I started noticing I wasn't receiving the treatment I was told would happen! I was told I would see a psychiatrist each day of the week as well as a medical doctor. I did see the same psychiatrist each work day of the week but a fill in that was an APRN with some kind of little added psychiatric degree on the weekends (she wasn't the smartest) she new basically nothing about me and was scared to change anything the weekday psychiatrist had already done. So the weekend psychiatrist was useless! The SAME thing happened with the medical Dr. too! When you did see the regular psychiatrist (Dr. ***** ******) on the weekdays, he would always ask you a few questions (some that made no sense) and say "well let's wait another day and see". Then the next day he MIGHT change something up with your medication. Also basically the same thing with the medical Dr. So when you factor all of this in remembering this is supposed to be a 28 day program; giving them the benefit of the doubt, SUBTRACT 6 days for useless weekends, 14 days for the "well let's wait another day and see", and 1 day we had for Labor Day Holiday: That comes to a grand total of 7 days of continuous "SOLID" behavioral health treatment! How can they advertise this as a 28 day treatment when you are not getting treated, but just getting seen "blown off until the real Drs get back"!
