Do not do business with this company or owner, Retro RVs. We lost $20,000 trying to get a vintage Avion trailer renovated with this company. Even after renting an Airstream trailer from him twice with no problems. Even after taking his quotes to several Mesa RV dealers and were told by the Mesa companies that the prices seemed reasonable and the amount of a 75% down payment was exactly what they also charged. Even after we tried to hold Retro RVs to a timeline of what needed to be finished before we gave him more money. Even when we told him that we would take one of his rentable Airstreams if he didn't get our Avion done. (He agreed.) I got a call from Retro RVs on a Monday that we needed to come pick up our Avion trailer because the powers that be were going to turn off his electricity and lock his doors due to his nonpayment of utilities and very probably rent, and maybe more. My husband first went and picked up one of Retro RVs Airstreams as per agreement. Then my husband returned and took our Avion. It was almost not even towable, so we had to put new tires on it just to safely tow it. My husband had to take it to a dealer in Mesa because there were open holes in the top that needed to be covered in some way immediately. We had to go across the street to get our flooring, which Retro RVs had ordered, but Retro RVs didn't have enough money to pay for it. So basically we paid for the flooring twice. Retro RVs was also not paying his employees at that time. Such a mess. We finally got our Avion finished at Silver Trailers in Phoenix. **** and his father and crew did a phenomenal job and even hired some of the Retro *********** who already knew the design plan.
