    My ** was having a hard time keeping my house cooled down but it was still working when I called Cool *****'s. It was 110 degrees outside & I keep my house cold so I didn't think much of it but I was wanting to have the ** tuned anyway so I called them. They arrived the same day which I thought was great but the guy tells us that the fan blades are off balance and need to be replaced, there is a leak somewhere, along with some other bs. The charges were $1700. My husband was in an accident was out of work for 4 months so we had no choice but to finance this amount. We applied for financing, got approved etc. Then he goes back up to add freon to get us through the weekend because he wouldn't be able to do repairs until Monday. He left & the unit cooled the house for maybe an hour then it was just so much worse and it was mid 80s in my house. Monday comes he tells us the coils are leaking, the filter dryer is leaking, etc... another $4700 on top of the original $1700! He also recommended we just get a whole new ** unit because he feels like the compressor will go out soon. So we feel backed in a corner because it is 90 degrees inside our house and we just can't deal with the heat anymore. We reapplied for the financing for the new amount, while my *********** discuss the option of getting a new unit. After he leaves, I get an invoice emailed to me and it says this cost does not include labor or refrigerant. Then he tells me they can't get the parts for a week, then it turns into 2 weeks. I ended up calling two other guys from other companies that I know through other ******* ****** told me that none of those parts are needed, theres no leak, & the guy had taken out the washer for refrigerant hose so my unit just leaked out all the freon. He said he ended up adding 13 pounds which is funny because my unit only takes 11. The new ** guys were able to fix the unit in minutes so I was without ** for a week for no reason!

    Cool *****'s responded quickly on 7/5/24 (Holiday weekend) and saw multiple issues with the ** Unit. Pictures and video were taken before work started, and during diagnosis to show customer that there were issued with the unit but he still had several no cool customers to see that day, so he put 4 lbs of refrigerant in the system to make sure she would be cooled till he could get back on Monday to perform a leak search. Customer was given estimates but was not charged for work performed. On 7/6/24 we received a call that customers house was still not **********************. Again, we had multiple emergency calls on the holiday weekend, but we did come to customers home and provide a portable ** unit to hold them over till we could get there on Monday for their scheduled appt. On 7/9/24 leak search was performed and multiple leaks were found; there are pictures and documentation to validate this claim. New estimates were provided for repair and replacement was recommended because the coil replacement was expensive and 6-8 weeks out from manufacturer. We ordered the parts and added 9 more lbs of refrigerant into the unit to make sure customer was comfortable while the part was on order. 2 lbs of refrigerant had already leaked out since the first visit. On 7/11/24 ***************** called our office on recorded line and stated she had someone else fix the problem and "your estimates are F***ing BS and I'm not paying you F***ing dime". At this point we had only provided estimates and had not charged her anything, but we did give her a new portable ** unit to keep comfortable. Some companies would put leak stop in a unit to stop leaks, but this is a temporary fix that usually only lasts a few weeks and is not good for the overall operation of the unit, so we don't do that. Make no mistake, this unit has multiple leaks and will fail. We have made several attempts to contact ***************** to pick up our portable ** unit valued at $500.00, but she has not returned our calls or offered to return it. We have also not charged her for any services, only been given estimates, as we do not bill until our work is complete and signed by our customer. We are happy to provide the detailed pictures, video, recorded calls, and estimates as needed. We would also be interested in seeing the invoice and pictures that the the other company has, to see what work was done. We would also like ***************** to allow us to pick up our property from her home. Again, she has not been billed for any of the work that has been performed at her home.

    ***************** did contact our office to pick up portable on a Saturday. Portable AC Unit was picked up on 07/13/24 in good condition and as previously stated; there have been no charges to this customer for services provided and use of portable AC Unit.
