Sent a camera lens in to be repaired. Original estimate was ***** After lens was received, the NEW estimate was ***** I requested that the lens be returned and asked (via email) how much that would cost. Have received no response of any kind for 3 weeks. Called just now and got voice mail.

Consumer Response /* (2000, 9, 2022/04/12) */ This case can be closed. The business responded and eventually sent the item back to me. But it was arduous and drawn out. I paid for the return postage and it was still another ten days and multiple emails to get them to actually mail the package. I believe that the BBB actions taken were helpful, and that the business is in the habit of ignoring customers and hoping that they will go away. I have no doubt that if I had paid for the repair, this business would have just kept the money and not doen the repair. Thanks for your help.

Finding a Panasonic camera repair service on the internet, I requested an estimate to repair my Panasonic lumix 10x dmc-tz4 camera, describing the problem with it, in **** ***** There was an immediate response. It seemed credible in all ways but one: The responding individual did not self identify by name or by company title. Failing to heed suspicion, I followed the credible instructions to send my camera for repair. Despite website statements of acknowledgement and repair/response times, there was no communication to me until I inquired by email in January 2022. I was advised the camera had been received, was provided with the cost with notice of a discount for payment by check instead of ****** or credit card. Failing to heed suspicion, I sent the check so the repair could go forward. I was notified by email that the check was received and the repair usually took 5-7 days. The check was immediately cashed. When the camera had not been returned after more than four weeks, I emailed the "business" again, directing them to return my camera. I was emailed a response that it was undergoing quality inspection following repair. I have still not received my camera. Work order ********. Check amount ******** Camera value to me, *****

We sent a DSLR camera in for repair. We paid **** to repair a camera in ******** but it was sent back having not been repaired. They asked us to send it back, which we did. The camera has now been there for five months. They do not respond to emails or phone. Appears it's just a mailing house and a scam.

In September of 2021, I found Panasonic Camera Repair Center online, thinking it was part of Panasonic. I got an online estimate and sent them my ***** XXX-XXX camera. I did not hear from them for awhile and when I did, they said the parts for the lens were tied up in shipping because of Covid. After that, they said the lens was repaired, but the estimate went from $200 to $500. I still wanted the lens so I told them to go ahead. I sent several emails and contacted them by phone, but to no avail. One email says they are waiting for parts, the next says it is finished...I still do not have my lens. About a month ago, I told them to send it back to me...unrepaired. I have not heard from them again. I think they are a scam operation...and I am surprised that Panasonic lets them use their name.

I sent my Panasonic Lumix FZ 1000 camera to Burbank Camera and Camcorder repair in early December 2021. USPS tracking info shows that the camera arrived there on Dec XX XXXX. I have received no acknowledgement of the camera arriving, an estimate on the repair, or an answer to a status check that I submitted before Christmas via their website. https://panasonicrepair.com/contact/ I contacted them via email today and they said to use the status check option on their website but not to submit more than one status check so since I already did it, there is no recourse as they also say they won't give status updates via phone.

Consumer Response /* (-5, 8, 2022/02/03) */ Thanks for getting back to me. The company contacted me last Thursday, Jan 20 claiming that they have not yet logged in the package and would I please send the USPS tracking number which I did. I suspect that this is just a delaying tactic. The case is definitely NOT RESOLVED. My friends think that I should call the local sheriff. What do you think about that idea? Best *****
