      i purchased 8 new windows that were supposed to be high efficiency triple pane windows. when they got installed i noticed the u factor on them was .26 and .25. when 8 confronted k-designers about it they said that is the best in ****.i found other companies here in **** that offer better ratings. i found that energy star rating for my area is .27 so the windows they installed are .01 lower than energy star rating requirements. to get energy saving rebate thru dominion energy you have to have windows at .22 or lower because they only offer rebates for high efficiency items installed in the home.i found with a little research the triple pane windows should be able to get .22 rating if made properly with argon or other gasses inbetween the pane https://www.windowreplacement.net/u-factor.html the link is where i got alot of my information. i live in northern **** and i believe that would be considered northern

      The windows K-Designers provided **************** are triple pane windows with ********** they exceed energy star requirements and are highly energy efficient. The K-Designers regional manager spoke with **************** on 1/26/22 and provided a detailed explanation of all efficiency ratings including solar ratings. In the end K-Designers and the customer arrived at a mutually agreeable resolution to split the dominion energy rebate 50/50 as a good will gesture. The customer stated he was very pleased and satisfied with the final outcome.

      In May 2021 I hired K-Designers to replace windows in a basement room that experienced water damage. On May 6, 2021 I extended the employment to include the replacement of rain gutters on my home. I paid an initial deposit of $1,600 for the installation of the rain gutters and gutter *******. On July 13, 2021 the rain gutters and ******* were installed and I paid the final agreed installment of $1,200.00, for a total payment of $2,800.00. Unfortunately, there was little or no rain after the installation until September 2021, when we had several downpours and I discovered the rain gutters were leaking and the rain running down against the foundation. I called K-Designers and spoke with the receptionist and a man from K-Designers was dispatched quickly. After working on the gutters for about an hour, he told me that the gutters were installed so the water ran away from the downspout, forcing the water to run over the edge. He said he wasn't qualified to correct the flaw and another technician would be sent when he returned from a vacation in a week or so. I waited for 2 weeks. When no one called or came by, I called K-Designers. I left a message with the receptionist, as she said the Manager, ****, was not available. No one returned my call. Over the next few weeks I called an additional 4 times, leaving a message with the receptionist each time I called. On October 14, 2021 I sent an email, still no response. I called a final time in mid-November with the same silence from K-Designers. I have no idea why K-Designers won't return my calls, offer an explanation or attempt to address the problem, or even call to explain the problem.

      We have spoken with the customer and we have a solution to fix the problem and she has been informed and understood that we will need to wait until the snow melts off the roof to be able to fix the issue.  She understood that it will probably be spring time so that we can test it once she gets her outside water back on.
