In January of last year I brought my ****** to Bjer's in ********* to have it worked on. Initially the mechanic told me it was a quick and small fix. Next thing I know he's replacing my entire engine. ??????? I agreed because I trusted him. He attempted to put 3 different engines having the same issues occur that I brought the car in for. Then I had to tow my car out of his possession and pay another shop in ******* to fix my car. They were able to get my car drivable but a few weeks later it began to leak oil and coolant. I found out the original shop had replaced the motor with a junkyard motor and hadn't done anything to the engine like you're supposed to (replace head gaskets and such). Now my ****** sits with a blown head gasket. I had an investigation put on by the ****** of ********** Repair, they failed to negotiate the full amount for me. So I took the mechanic to small claims court. The court granted me $2400 (just a portion of what I paid them, the tow company and the other shop for repairs), and now the mechanic is failing to pay me the money. Requiring me to take him back to court. What a joke, what a *****. Be careful who you take your vehicle to! Bjer's Automotive are crooks who will take your money and leave you car less. I've waited so long to tell everyone my story... And now that I have continued to be jerked around I feel totally justified to share my story. Bjers Auto are crooks!!

This post is a direct retaliatory reaction by this former customer because she was denied any punitive damages in the form of the (excessive) monetary compensation in her lawsuit against Bjers Auto Repair (the Judge ruled fairly after reviewing all the evidence and summarized below). As stated in the due process of this case (noted in court transcripts), it was proven that she knowingly signed and approved the use and warranty warnings of a used motor as determined by her budget. Bureau of Automotive Repair stated that Mr. ********************** went above and beyond in his attempts to please the customer, more so than necessary. Also noted in BAR testimony and report, was that a good faith refund offer was given by Mr. ********************** during the process which customer refused. BAR also reported this was a series of unfortunate, uncontrollable circumstances with note that this vehicle was known for complications. The claim that ********************** Auto acted fraudulently was refuted by BAR testimony and was supported by the courts ruling. In conclusion, ********************** Auto absorbed all labor costs on this repair and refunded a reasonable amount that was offered at the beginning of this ordeal. It was also noted in court process that this vehicle was in a collision somewhere in the time frame of this process.
