      I have been a member for over 5 years and unfortunately I would no longer recommend this gym.There are, constantly, multiple machines broke down and repairs take months. Bathrooms are dirty and unkept. Since the name change from California Family Fitness they seem to care more about quantity than quality. My dues go up every year but quality of the gym goes down. I spoke with a manager regarding my concerns and was told they have to go through corporate to get repairs which he blamed for lengthy repair timeframe. The once family friendly, clean, multiple machines to choose from gym is gone. I understand companies wanting to grow but not at the customers expense. Sadly seeing a significant decline since In-shape took over. Definitely no longer the fun CalFit l've been a member for 5+ years. I'll be looking for a new gym/pool. Been going downhill ever since the In Shape merger.Machines down for weeks at a time. Gym is dirtier than ever. I used to see employees cleaning, but I haven't in weeks.Worst of all is the sauna. Used to be so clean and hot. 180+ Now , the average temperature is 120F. Jaccuzi is never working, and this is an ongoing issue since the InShape merger .

      I would like to bring to your attention an issue I experienced with a fitness club membership. Despite clearly expressing my preference for a month-to-month membership, I was enrolled in a year-long contract. When I contacted the club to cancel my membership due to unemployment, I was informed that I would be charged for an additional month. Subsequently, I discovered another charge on my account and was informed that I had actually signed up for a year-long contract. This situation is concerning, and I believe it is important to address these discrepancies. I found the customer service to be unhelpful and the experience to be unsatisfactory.       This gym will over price u out of no where even if your membership is 2yrs old they will charge u a 400 dollar fee for no reason and refuse to return phone calls and what company does not have a phone number for corporate just an email. It's ridiculous and rude. Worst mngmbt ever would never recommend will rip u off

      I had put my account on hold for May due to surgery I was having. I took my daughter to see the facility. In-Shape staff asked me to take off hold and call on 6/1 to place back on hold. They charged $18 for my daughter for one day. I called on 6/1 and was told it was too late that they were charging me and my daughter for June. I called and spoke to Zaneeta in Folsom twice. She promised yo have someone from cooperate call me but no one did. She does not answer or return my calls anymore. They charged another $10 for something in May for my daughter who only went there one day. After canceling on 6/1 they again charged for my daughter in July. I disputed with my bank the June and July charges which my bank got back for me. I then received a paper statement for the Jun and July amounts with several $10 charges for fees. I took it to In-Shape and the ** there said he cannot touch it so I am not sure what to do now. This company is not with Better Business Bureau.

      I canceled my membership the staff said ok you don't have to pay anymore. I'm not a member of Inshape. The staff at California fitness said I wouldn't be charged another ***** as of November 3,2023. The staff has told me someone from corporate will call me. I haven't heard anything and my account keeps getting charged this company can't go back on their word. This is my money that this company is stealing from me now. I have talked to several different people and they all tell me the same thing except one. She tries to show the contract but all I see is Inshape logo. I didn't sign up for Inshape I shouldn't be paying for Inshape Thanks, *****************************

      I signed up for the month to month plan back in June. Tried to cancel it on 10/16/2023 and they said I have to pay for the whole month of November in order to get it canceled.I told them that ******* who helped me whose named **** told me I just need to notify them a week before thr next billing cycle (first day of the month) and I wont be charged for the next month.I called their corporate number and all they did was blaming it on me for not reading the contract carefully. I told them I was misled by ******* and they said theres nothing they can do about it, and i still have to pay for it.This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a gym. Highly NOT recommend.

      The amount of money is not on par with service. They locked me into a 1 year contract and closed the gym to member before 9pm after when I signed up i was told it would be open till 10pm. Their staffing and officiating of league keeps going down. The facility host games until 11:15pm at night but only has one front desk employee and no manager when it has 20-30people leaving the facility after 11pm. Dont expect a professional atmosphere if problems occur or you would like to partake in any leagues.

      Worst experience! Told my account would be frozen indefinitely during Covid and that I could reactivate it at my discretion. The account was unfrozen without my knowledge or consent. I spoke to a rep and was told their were weird freeze times even though she said they only offer 3 month freeze times. They refuse to refund the money they took without my consent and to take responsibility of their oversight.

      13+ years we have never experienced anything as upsetting or humiliating before meeting **************** at the ******* cal fit off ************** Like most days my father would take my daughter to the gym after *********** I got off work early I would pick her up. ****** greeted me with a very insincere tone. I showed him my ID and he gave me a puzzled look. I explained that I am on my father's account and using his "unlimited monthly guest pass" He then looked at **** and asked if "my father" said he was using a guest pass today. **** said no, then ****** flatly stated that my father needed to be present for me to be checked in. I insisted that my father was present and in the hot tub. ****** then stated that my father needed to be up front to check me in, I asked if that was completely necessary to have an 80 year old man removed from the hot tub, half naked, barefoot and wet to the gym lobby. ****** snapped back saying yes it is company policy and he will need to come up front to allow me in. I tried calling my father to no avail, so I asked if I could go grab him and bring him up front.Again ****** snapped at me saying that I can not go into the gym until being checked in and that I was a "street person" trying to sneak in. Completely insulted and tired of being snapped at I ended up shouting at ****** informing him that my child was on the property and I will be taking her home. Finally after this **** went to get my father. Yes they made him walk through the lobby half naked and wet, yes my father was upset and embarrassed.**** said that if I didn't calm down I couldn't enter the gym. He informed me that they didnt offer "special treatment" which is why they couldn't just ask my father. **** also stated that if we wanted to relocate gyms that it would be perfectly fine. Basically informing me that our business was not appreciated there. ****** treated me like I couldn't afford a membership while **** gaslighted me. **** apologized while ****** sneered at Me.
