I began going to Dion Health for regular cleanings while I had braces on. When my braces came off for my wedding I went in for a cleaning. I was told I needed three fillings and two crowns and that the crowns could wait until after I completed ortho treatment. I scheduled the appointment for three fillings. When I went in for the fillings the dentist told me the crowns were urgent and I should not wait to finish ortho treatment to have them done. I explained that I was worried about having pain after the crowns because I have a bad bite. He assured me it would be no problem and that I should get the crowns. I had never had crowns before and I trusted that this dentist was giving me sound advice. I was very wrong. After the crowns I suffered for a month with tension headaches due to my bite disorder (the crowns changed my bite even more) and one of the crowns placed had irreversible pulpitis which led me to need a root canal in that tooth! Prior to my crowns I had no pain in my mouth or headaches. Dion Health suggested I start their TMD treatment which consisted of botox and an oral appliance. I agreed because I was in excruciating pain. The oral appliance they made did not fit correctly and caused me to have referred pain in my face. It was HORRIBLE. I ceased treatment with Dion Health and have since found a dentist who knows how to treat me with my bite disorder as well as an oral facial pain specialist who is doing an indepth work up of my muskuloskeletal issues that have led to my bite disorder. I have requested no further treatment of Dion Health and a refund for the two crowns that caused me so much suffering (I do not have insurance and paid cash for all of my dental work). My teeth were in tact without any cracks and I did not need the crowns. Dion health has ignored my request for a refund and instead continues to bill me for $4,824.00. I feel they are corrupt and unqualified. I advise anyone with complex issues to find a better dentist.
