I am a decade long customer at this location and leased a vehicle through them. I am filing a complaint against Mercedes-Benz of Stevens Creek for withholding my car for an extended period without progress on repairs and failing to provide alternative transportation, which has forced me to incur significant rental car expenses. Details of the Complaint:On Sept 4, I brought my car to Mercedes-Benz of Stevens Creek for repairs. My car has been at their shop for over 12 days, and no progress has been made on the repairs. The dealership has not provided updates on when the work will begin or when it will be completed.During this time, the dealership has refused to provide a loaner vehicle or cover the cost of a rental car, leaving me no choice but to pay for a rental out of pocket. To date, I have incurred $1,200 in rental expenses in addition to the $7,000 estimated repair ******* is unacceptable for the dealership to take my car in for repairs without any intention of starting the work promptly, especially while leaving me without a proper transportation solution. If the dealership cannot begin repairs right away, they should not accept the car, and they must ensure that I am not left without a vehicle. They should also cover rental car expenses in these situations.Desired Outcome:I request that Mercedes-Benz of Stevens Creek provides a loaner vehicle immediately AND reimburse me for the rental car expenses I have incurred until my vehicle is fully repaired.I also request that work on my car begin without further delay and that I be given a clear timeline for its completion. I would accept that MB of Stevens Creek cancels the work order and refunds everything: my $3814 deposit + $1200 rental car expenses = $5014.Lastly, the dealership should implement a policy to not take in cars for repair unless they can start the work promptly, and they must ensure customers are not left without transportation or unfairly burdened with rental costs.
