On June 11, 2023, I reached out to Shynesew AKA *********************** for a custom tabletop and some sewing machine repair work. He quoted me $460 for the tabletop, which I paid in advance on June 15. I dropped my sewing machine off at his house on June ************************************** preparation for repainting and paid him $250, again in advance. On June 19, I asked him to disassemble the machine completely to ensure the paint job was done cleanly. I paid him $650 more for the disassembly and reassembly, again in advance. On June 29, he stated that the machine would be completely disassembled by the end of the weekend (July 2). On July 5, I followed up after no response. He told me I could pick it up on July 11. When I came to pick it up, I saw that the machine did not have the existing paint removed. On August 25, the machine was painted, and I reached out to ***** to complete the job, to no response. I reached out again on August 30, September 4, and September 9, all with no response. It was only after I reached out to him on a completely separate listing on OfferUp that he finally responded (presumably only because he thought I was reaching out to buy the item on the listing). I demanded that he return all of my property to me immediately. I went to pick up the tabletop and the internal parts to my machine. When I arrived home I noticed that the tabletop was not even close to the right size. As I began to reassemble the machine, I discovered that many of the parts were missing. I am now left with a machine that is completely inoperable due to missing parts and a tabletop that does not fit said machine. This dude is a complete and total scammer.
