            On May 3, 2021, Better Business Bureau was alerted to an online shipping company operating as Imperial Shipping Line, https://imperialshippingline.com/,  in Denver, Colorado 80202. A consumer, the victim of a puppy scam, was directed by a fake breeder to use Imperial Shipping Line for the purpose of safely shipping a puppy to them. The consumer alleges Imperial Shipping Line charged them fraudulent fees before the consumer realized they were being scammed. The consumer further reported Imperial Shipping Line promised to return the money, but disconnected their phone number shortly thereafter.

            The Colorado Secretary of State reports Imperial Shipping Line is not a licensed business in Colorado.

            On May 6, 2021 and May 19, 2021, BBB reached out to Imperial Shipping Line regarding the consumer complaint, but to date has not received a response.

            BBB would like to remind consumers to refrain from purchasing puppies and other pets online as this is one of the most common scams reported to BBB. Consumers should seek a local breeder or seller where they can visit the home or facility, inspect the animal to be purchased, review local veterinarian records, and confirm business license information if it is required.

            WARNING!! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. They promise services and then find ways to charge you more. WOULD NOT recommend them to anyone.BEWARE of their Bait and Switch tactics.They started adding fees as soon as they had my furniture on their truck and then they hold you hostage by threatening storage fees if you don't agree to their terms.ANOTHER tactic is to then demand another $500.00 fee for delivery at your destination because the trucks they use are too big for neighborhood streets and require transfer to a smaller truck.The person who identified himself as the owner (**** or ****) is also very disrespectful and dismissive.I
