    Cornerstone contractors were like scammers! Too much details to write for the review-we have filed a complaint to Connecticut Government under Home Renovation Act and our case is under investigation right now. This company was recommended to us by Dynamic Design (a company offers renderings but acted at first as a contractor - we were not aware of) that I found on *********. The layout of the kitchen remains the same, and we also bought appliances and backsplashes and light fixtures on our own. What they had to do was to put the cabinets to where old cabinets were removed. They couldn't meet the agreed deadline (due to their inactivity for the kitchen in the first few weeks). They waited until less than a week before our move-in day to start putting cabinets to the location, and they couldn't meet the deadline and everything went wrong! Doors cannot be closed properly, Visible big gaps everywhere in the kitchen. Wrong screws used to install the handle hardwares resulting in scratching cabinets. Missing parts. An under the sink cabinet that was too small so they added a piece of wood and painted it in white, not even the same white. New hardwood floor in the kitchen has many cracked big gaps. We had to hire plumbers after we moved into the house to fix a few issues what they did wrong- leaking pipes and no P-trap and no drains. The last few weeks have been so stressful to us only because on a daily basis we had to constantly inform them about what went wrong- For example, 1) leaving the removed, used toilet in our garage for weeks during hot weather; 2) switched on the old HVAC system when being told definitely not to do so because it could cause fire according to our AC electrician; 3) workers left our house but left the front door unlocked; 4) bad craftsmanship everywhere and missing parts and panels, etc. They have charged us for site management fee- what did they manage? Buyers be aware- do not trust this company.

We regret that this client feels their experience was negative, and we appreciate the opportunity to address their concerns. However, several claims in the review do not reflect the full context of the situation. 1. **Cabinet Delivery and Installation**: The cabinets were ordered promptly upon receiving the necessary elevations (received on Friday, 6/7; ordered on Monday, 6/10; confirmed on Tuesday, 6/11). They were expedited and delivered on Friday, 6/14, in just 3 days. Other sites quoted by the client take with more economic pricing would have taken 14 days for delivery. The cost of expedited production and delivery was reflected in the client's pricing, which was approved prior to ordering the cabinets. The cabinets required acclimation to the environment, hence installation began the following week. 2. **Project Timeline**: A rough timeline was provided at the project's start. The only deviation was the cabinet installation due to the above. The client requested the basement project to be expedited from the original timeline, which we communicated could not be done by our team. 3. **Cabinet Hardware**: The hardware was installed using screws provided in the box in which the hardware came. No scratches occurred during installation. 4. **Under-Sink Cabinet**: The sink fit was made to ensure proper installation, without unnecessary modifications. 5. **Refunds and Corrections**: We have refunded the client for corrections made by other service providers. We have also offered to execute a standard punch list multiple times to address all remaining issues, but were denied the opportunity. 6. **Transparency in Pricing and Timeline**: We have maintained full transparency regarding pricing and timelines from the onset of the contract. There were no hidden costs or changes. 7. **Craftsmanship**: The issues labeled as "bad craftsmanship" mostly require minor adjustments, which we have offered to rectify but were denied access to do so. We strive to exceed our clients' expectations and regret that this situation has escalated. We are committed to resolving any genuine concerns and maintaining the high standards we set for all our projects. We have engaged legal counsel to address these claims and welcome further dialogue to resolve this matter.
