I purchased a 2017 **** ***** **** compact track loader from United Rentals. I was advertised on the ******* Classified website. The ad stated it had 857 hours on it. After waiting a month to get the loader after paying for it I picked it up in **** **. The hour display did show thew hours advertised. The invoice I received after loading the loader on my trailer stated it had 854 hours on the loader. After using the loader for 6 hours I noticed the hour meter read zero. I took the loader to the local **** ***** dealer to look at hour issue and enable addition functions. When they hookup to the ecu of the loader they discovered that the actual hours on the loader was 2271 hours and the cab hour display had been altered. The hours in the ecu are permanent. The dealer was able to change parameters so that the cab display read the proper hours. The value of a loader with 2271 hours is considerably less then 854 hours. when I contacted the manager at the **** store she denied the fraud but said she would have their District Manager call me. No one called and when I called his office he was never in and did not receive a call from him to this date. I feel I had intitled to the difference in value. attached are United Rental invoice and **** ***** service work order invoice.

United rental branch 403 engaged in unauthorized billing and illegal credit card activity. We were billed properly for a one day rental agreement on a piece of machinery. 2 days after rental was completed , no invoice no call no authorization another 600 dollars was billed onto our company credit card. We will dispute the charge and make all of our business affiliates aware of this unscrupulous illegal action. It does not matter what angle United rentals in justifying the charge , no phone call , photographs , invoice or authorization.

Received letter with treat of lien or bond claim on 6/26/2023 for suspected services on6/20/2023. However, I have never done business with United Rentals, Inc. nor have had a contractor conduct business with United Rentals, Inc on my behalf. My name is along with my father-in-law (******* ** ****** **) is stated on the documents along with an address of the locating equipment was delivered (***** ******* **** ******* ** *****) . The address is not ours. Our property address is ***** ******* ** ******* ** *****, The property equipment was used on it belongs to our neighbor ******* * ******* (***** ******* **** ******* ** *****) and his contractor ****** ******** ******** ******** (***** **** ***** ***** ************* ** *****). We have not conducted business with any of these individuals. But have received two notices of lien threats. This is wrong, we should not be responsible for these individuals bills. Matthew F*******, United Rentals, Inc CEO needs to know of this issue and be involved.

Spent 8 weeks on a waiting list to rent a wood chipper. On the 7th week (April 7th) the chipper was available, but we had lots of rain the night before and forecasted rain over the weekend. Luis called to talk me out of renting the chipper. Saying that wet wood will clog it up, and not only would I end up paying for the weekend rental for a chipper I couldn't use, I would also be liable to pay for the repairs and maintenance if it were damaged by the clog. I asked if I would be charged for the chipper if I didn't rent this weekend. Luis Said " No. The only way you'll be charged is if you pick it up and drive it off the lot." According to my bank statement the charge, $438.50 hit the next day. (April 8th) Without knowing I had been charged, I showed up the next week, (April 14th) to rent the chipper. At which time they decided my truck didn't have the towing capacity to haul the chipper and declined to rent it to me. If I wasn't qualified to rent the chipper, that should've been disclosed prior to putting me on a waiting list. Their policies are built on dishonest practices and billing for services they never intended to render.

      1. Months ago someone-John came out to repair equipment, got of his vehicle and immediately started cussing the management of the company and stated that today is his last day-he had enough. Got in our loader and says "yup-you got a problem" and then left without any repair. Then started getting bills for the repair which was finally deleted but we told them that we still needed the repair. 2. Have called MULTIPLE times to have someone come fix our customer owned (purchased from them) equipment. Have spoken to Dallas in the ************ ** location and to (forget name) but he is the regional manager phone number ###-###-#### cell. Have been told someone will contact us. 3. No one contacts us. 4. Job is on hold. 5. Getting run around. 6. Need resolution ASAP 7. Terrible customer service. Please help!

On 2/22/23 I called to arrange a fork truck to be delivered to *** ******* ** on 2/27/23 end of day for use on 2/28/23 and 3/1/23 to be picked up on 3/2/23 beginning of the day. They sent a reservation stating the dates needed. On 3/16/23 I was notified by our customer the lift truck had not been picked up. I called United Rental to ask about why it was still there. I was told that it had not been picked up because I didn't call them to pick it up. The pick-up was scheduled at the time it was reserved. United Rentals is now attempting to charge $1405.38 above the agreed to $1454.96 for this rental.

We reserved a lift 2 months ago for a large job. They call us Friday, not even 8 business hours before a job which was to start this morning at 5am to tell us they accidentally had rented all the lifts and no longer have one for us. They knew this reservation was coming up and really screwed us over and the customer over. I have spoken to so many rude guys in the office in Phoenix office who definitely spoke down to me as a female. This is not how your run a company. When someone reserves equipment you communicate and you ensure you have that rental available. Best part is- they are so disorganized they cannot even tell us when another one comes available.

I am an English professor. I do not work with construction equipment. At 7:20 a.m. Pacific Time Oct. 28, I received an automated phone call authorizing a charge I did not make. The machine disconnected the call before I spoke to anyone. I called this corporation at the number that had called me -- ************ -- three times attempting to ensure nothing was charged to me. No one would even listen to what happened and would not look into calls made to my phone number. Corporations should not work with automated phone call equipment if they aren't able to answer questions on calls it makes. Consumers do not need this type of stress in an era of corporate theft and digital hacking.

United Rental continues to send us bills for services we never authorized. A Mr. **** ********, is using our address as his when he rented equipment from United Rentals. He has never lived here and is defrauding UR using our address. United Rentals despite calling them on several occasions, still continues to allow him to use our address.
