We have tried to call and contact this company many times for over a year. They never get back to us with any kind of answer. I don’t know what to do anymore. We gave them 5000 and they said that within one year they would get released out of our timeshare. Well its been over and we tried to contact this company. They never get back to us after us trying to get in touch with them.Review from Dana M

I totally agree with all the other negative comments that have been posted about LCI and Switch It companies. They take your money, and skirt all communications when the customer tries to find out what's going on with the timeshare transfer process. It's been over 210 days since I gave them $6,632 to get out of my timeshare with Exploria Resorts, and each time I call them they say someone will get back to me. I call Angie Silcox at LCI and she says (acting surprised), "No one got back to you, yet? Let me tag someone at Switch It to ensure you get a call back right away." (She gave me the name of Sierra Marsh, so I left her a message.) I told Angie that the last time I called her she told me the same thing and no one contacted me back within the 3 days she said that they would. I've also sent emails that have gone unanswered as well. It's a revolving door and I can't get any resolution. I may have to seek legal action, but I thought I'd try a negative review on BBB first. This has been a frustrating process, and I feel I have been totally scammed by this company! Do your job and get me out of my timeshare obligation, or refund my money!! I'm not a rich person and am on a fixed pension as a retired U.S. Army veteran, and can't keep paying the maintenance fees for this timeshare every year. I went through your company believing I'd be out of my obligation before the maintenance fees were due again. I don't have faith that is the case any more. I also feel I just lost more money to transfer this timeshare with this disreputable company that states they're BBB accredited, and I'm not sure they are going to honor their contract with me. I regret doing business with LCI. I met with them on 12 April 2023 with the understanding they would get my Royal Holiday membership canceled in 220 days, but no later than 12 months for $6,103.00 with a 100 percent money back guarantee. I was charged $2,847.93 that day and agreed to have $135.63 charged to that same credit card for 24 month. RED FLAG #1, NEVER, agree to transferred/canceled in 12 months before payment is made in full. I was calling for status updates and leaving several message; RED FLAG #2. I was not kept inform of what was going on with the cancelation and when I did get Angie Silcox on the phone is was always a vary nasty response. Of course my membership was not transferred/cancelled in the 12 months so I called to informed them that I was not happy that the timeshare was not canceled an spoke to an Alan Griffen with Switch It in May. I informed him that I would give it to July and if the membership was not canceled then this agreement would be terminated. In July I wrote him and Angie Silcox a letter terminating our agreement. I still was paying the $135.63 until my credit card was compromised in June. I called Angie Slicox again in August to request my refund since my membership was not canceled and she stated that Mr. Joe O'Hara had died and that everything would be held up in probate court, but she would submit my request for a refund. Today I called and again left a message. Angie returned my call to let me know that June/July payment have not been made, in order to get a refund all payments have to be made even thought they had not canceled the membership; and that is the only way they would guarantee my refund. I was also threaten that they could take me to court for the remaining payments. No mention of them not getting the timeshare canceled within the 12 month guarantee. Very angry I got scammed. How can LCI continue to conduct bad business with no consequences? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not conduct any business with this company.Legal Consulting, Inc. Response

We have thoroughly reviewed this file, and our records indicate that the client, Ms. ****** ******, entered the closing phase of her timeshare transfer within the guaranteed 12-month timeframe. As outlined in our agreement, the process was in progress, and the transfer documents were submitted to the resort months ago. We regret any inconvenience caused by the unfortunate passing of the business owner, which temporarily delayed refund processes due to probate court proceedings. However, it’s important to note that the client is not eligible for a refund, as her transfer process was completed. Ms. Barnes cannot receive a refund while simultaneously benefiting from the completion of the contract, as that contradicts the terms of the agreement. Furthermore, Ms. ****** stopped payment on her financing before fulfilling the total agreement price, which is a breach of the contract terms. We kindly request that the client uphold her obligations to avoid further complications. We aim to ensure that every client receives the service they were promised, and we believe Ms. *****s’ file was handled within the terms of her agreement.Review from Alan M

I am writing to address a matter of grave concern regarding LCI's business practices. A few months ago, my elderly mother attended a presentation by LCI, during which she was provided with documentation indicating that the company was accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) with an A+ rating. Upon conducting a subsequent verification, I discovered that LCI is not listed or rated by the BBB. This discrepancy is deeply troubling, particularly given that my mother has already invested a substantial sum of money with LCI for the purpose of canceling her timeshare. Given the misleading information provided, we are prepared to pursue legal action to seek redress. We believe that the company’s actions constitute a serious misrepresentation, and we urge you to address this issue promptly.Review from Jason G

This Company does not warrant any stars not even one. We signed up on July 20 2023. Before the the three day turnaround I tired calling the representative that we signed the agreement with never received call back. Therefore was not able to cancel.Unfortunately decided to go forward with said agreement since thee was a money back guarantee. It is not July 26th 2024 and still have Timeshare was cancelled as promised. We paid a monthly payment of $196.48 for now want is 12 Months .Communication was a nightmare. Although Ms.Silcox had called back from LCI only to pass the buck to Switch It Company who is supposed to Cancel the timeshare . Switch It within the last year only communicated maybe 3 times the most with no satisfaction . I sent a letter of termination from this contract for no services rendered and requested a refund of my monthly payment. Sent letters to LCI and Switch It and the finance company . LCI was paid in full from the finance company. I am disputing this contract . I also called the Attorney General’s office of Ohio. Also the Federal Trade Commission. Have not heard back of confirmation of letter sent via email. J L GambleReview from Dave K

Beware of the costs LCI will convince elderly couples they need to pay upfront to cancel their timeshare. My parents paid $25K in May thinking LCI was talking directly with Wyndham to settle on a price to "remove the burden of over $100K in future maintenance payments". It turns out Wyndham has a direct plan to buy back timeshare ownsership for a small fee. My parents attended an LCI timeshare cancellation seminar at a local hotel. They are elderally and my dad has Alztimers. The "freindly" LCI sales team clearly gained my mothers trust but created fear that she had to act immediately and should not talk to Wyndham or her kids who would eventually have to pay for this great burden. When we found out about my parents $25K payment to LCI two days later (Mother's day) and we immediately called and email LCI. We also called the two credit card companies to cancel transactions. We are still working to recover funds. While this is clearly a SCAM it may not qualify as "fraud". My elderly parents did sign something. We understand that many other elderly folks have fallen for this same scheme. $25K upfront is not something a average person would do without first looking up reviews through Google or another browser. Our parents were scared and trusting believing $25k upfront was the only way forward. At least our Mom understands better now.Legal Consulting, Inc. Response

Dear Mr. ****** Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We are truly sorry to hear about the distress your parents experienced and would like to address your concerns directly. At LCI, we work directly with developers to help clients eliminate their timeshare burdens. Many developers are unwilling to assist owners once they are past their cancellation period. In cases where developers do offer assistance, it is often only after learning that a client has signed on with a company like ours. This practice can be an attempt to damage our reputation and hurt our business financially. It's important to note that not all developers offer a “take back” program for every account under their control; each case is evaluated individually. Your parents chose to have us represent them in their efforts to cancel their timeshare. Unfortunately, we never had the opportunity to proceed as they decided to cancel our services shortly after signing up. Please rest assured that we have refunded their payment in full. We strive to provide clear and honest communication to all our clients and regret any confusion or distress that may have been caused. We are committed to improving our processes to prevent similar situations in the future. If you have any further questions or concerns, we are more than willing to address them directly.Review from Louis N

We have a written guarantee that if they do not gt rid of your timeshare in 12 months you get your money back. This was the main reason I went with them. It has been 20 months and after several request to get my money back no one will return my calls. The cost was $6593. What a waste of money. This company is unethical and a total scam.Review from Adrian F

This company is not BBB acredited as they lied to us. I did not have to pay them $6000 to have them help me exit my timeshare. I was able to do it with a simple letter toe Wyndham requestiong that I surrender my timeshare. NO cost to me. LCI took my $6000, turned me over to a company called switch it and the person there said all I have to do is request a letter of surrender from Wyndham. That piece of advice cost almost $6000. What a wasted and what a lie the LCE group told us.Review from So A

I responded to a flier and registered whereupon, the registrar told me that I don't have to necessarily need to get out of my timeshare contract and that they would help to look at other benefits of the timeshare. Upon arrival at Home2 at 6 pm in Tukwila, Wa, a woman (only one there) instructed me to fill out the paperwork. I told her that we were not looking to rid ourselves of our timeshare and she asked 'What are you doing here?', I told her what the registrar told me and told her that I would be interested in the information if we did decide to give up our timeshare and she stated that this is not what the 'seminar' is. I suggested that she tell her the registration folks about what this seminar really is and she said that that is not her problem in which I stated that she should care what is being communicated on behalf of the company that she is employed and she said that she did not care and that I should leave. Asked another man there if he was the manager or if he cared and they both said that they don't care in unison. This ridiculous company invited me there and totally disrespected me and my husband in a matter of 5 minutes, total waste of time. Do business with someone else! Their flier states that they are an A+ Rating on BBB, how; with a 2.44 rating!Review from Paul M

My father recently passed away and the rest of our family has decided to discontinue with LCI's services. We have been trying to request a refund, according to their "100% Money Back Guarantee" but, to say the group has been quite dodgey the past few months is definitely an understatement. The last three times I called, I was told to wait for a call back... a call back that never came to fruition. Don't offer a money back guarantee if you don't plan to give the money back!Legal Consulting, Inc. Response

Dear **** ********, I extend my sincere condolences for the loss of your father. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. I understand that you have been attempting to request a refund in accordance with our "100% Money Back Guarantee." I appreciate your patience and would like to address your concerns. Our money-back guarantee is designed to ensure client satisfaction in the event that we are unable to fulfill our services. It is important to clarify that the guarantee is not applicable if the decision to discontinue services is based on a change of mind. Our contract is established with the individual who signed the agreement. In situations where a family member assumes control or ownership of the property and requires our services, we are more than willing to assist. However, if the family chooses not to proceed with our services, it does not nullify the existing agreement. A balance may still be owed, and while we can cancel future payments, any payments already received would be applied to services rendered.
