When prospective patients call our office, our staff give a conservative quote of what can be expected in terms of fees when they arrive. We always tell prospective patients that this amount may change depending on what is discussed during the appointment with the doctor because every program is individualized to meet the needs of that particular patient. Every patient also has the opportunity during the visit to approve or deny services, so nothing is charged until the patient agrees to the services and products during the appointment. The individualized plan is created by both the provider and patient together to ensure that the services or recommendations are within the patient's budget and feasible for the patient to do at home. If a patient is uncomfortable with any service or product provided, we make every accommodation to make sure we correct it, modify it, or exchange it. Due to the highly individualized nature of our medical services, packages may need to be modified due to a patient's medical history or requests. If services have already been charged, patients do have the opportunity to obtain a refund, credit or exchange. Refunds must be handled in person due to PCI compliance with our credit card processing company. If a dispute is initiated with a patient's bank instead of a refund, the bank requests documentation pertaining to the charges and makes their own independent decision regarding whether or not a dispute is authorized. This is outside of the realm of our clinic. The bank requests the documentation from us, we provide it to them and then they make a decision either supporting or denying the dispute. This is not the same thing as a refund.
