            During the property sale closing (03/25/2024) Steel City Title Company failed to collect property taxes. Two weeks after closing I received a phone call from one of the officers asking me to mail them a check for the amount of $441.02. In the meantime, they will make direct payment to the tax collectors office. The check was mailed to them on the same day April 9. It was deposited to their account on April 11 and cleared my account on the 12th. By this time property taxes were still not paid. To my questions they responded two times: I'll find out and get back to you. Now they stopped communicating.

            I thought my builder was bad at what they did but this company really takes the cake. Let me break it down for you: The company is best described as inept. They are not good at ANY part of their job. From horrible communication, rude employees, inability to even find someone to sign and transport papers, no empathy for their customers and the list goes on. Try all you can to avoid doing business with these folks. Unfortunately this is the option my builder went with so...

            I am sorry that Mr. ****** was not happy with his closing.  Our office handles closings all over the state of Florida.  We use specific  closings locations where we have a mobile notary meet the buyers for that area in that location. Due to the number of closings handled each month, we have to have a designated  location where numerous closings can be held in one day.  Mr. ****** was upset because we could not accommodate his wanting to close at his realtor location.  If we had closed at that location, his keys would not have been there.  All of the keys are dropped off to the closing location where all closings are being held for that division closings.  It is not feasible for us to go to a different location for each closing.  The time frame is just not possible, so we have the standard location where all closings are held for that area of Florida.
