A company with no integrity. The sales rep that visited my property had no respect for my privacy and shared information with 3rd parties. Why would anyone deal with a company that has no respect for your privacy?? Avoid them at all costs...Get Coastal Exteriors, Inc. Response

****, I always appreciate feedback from our existing and potential customers. It was certainly an awkward situation with home buyers, agents, inspectors, and sellers present for a roofing inspection and estimate. The scheduling of all these people convening at your property was not at our discretion. This may have created some unintentional consequences due to the fact that multiple "buyer" parties were present for the roofing inspection/estimate. In fact the home buyer's inspector was on the roof with our Project Manager.
Our inspection discovered that a 22 year old roof with cracked/chipped tile, mortar degradation, and cap/ridge risers that were beginning to rot was beyond a repair. .
After the initial inspection, you called with your concerns, and we aligned on a second inspection. I brought out our Head of Quality and Production (23 years of roofing experience) to assess your roof with a second opinion. We did a second inspection with a drone and 3rd party report and found the results to be consistent with the first inspection. All of these findings have been documented by handheld and drone video footage.
It was also noted in your Sellers Disclosure Agreement (Signed 6/12/2023) that there were no known previous repairs or defects. This is inconsistent with our inspection, seeing that there were several dated repairs to tile and mortar.
Again, **** we are sorry for the situation, and the unintended consequences of multiple parties being present for our inspection. We had no involvement in the scheduling buyers, buyer's agents, or buyer's inspectors during our inspection/estimate. Our goal is create great customer experiences, and based upon your feedback, it looks like we fell short. Let's discuss how we can make it better for you. I will reach out to set up a time to discuss.***************************************

Replaced roof in 2021. In early 2023, decided to put up new gutters, but gutter companies tell me that Get Coastal didnt replace worn out damaged drip boards, which are little 1x4 boards attached to fascia board. Instead they nailed new roof to them and covered them with aluminum. They never informed me that the boards needed replacing. Since they did charge me for some plywood and fascia as part of the roofing job, one wonders why they didnt bother to inform me of the need to replace the drip boards. This is causing major problems in putting up new gutters.Get Coastal Exteriors, Inc. One of the gutter companies sent out 2 guys who quickly tore off the old gutters, then informed me that the gutter boards were damaged and that extra costs were involved. The company denied that it had splintered the boards itself. Several other gutter companies wanted to charge thousands to repair and replace gutters. It turned out that they all were lying; I found a long-established gutter firm that just did a superb job. The rep from the roofer came out and looked over the splintering and damage. The bottom line in my mind is that it is almost essential that a homeowner replacing a roof have the same company do the gutters, or not have the old gutters put back, since that may further damage gutter boards. Also, the gutter boards should be evaluated for replacement at the time of the roofing.Review from Beverly B.

ZERO RATING: POOR WORKMANSHIP This company was hired to replace soffit and fascisl in August 2021. October 2022 some of the soffits blew off during hurricane Ian. Contacted them in Oct., Dec., snd several times in Jan. Finally someone reached out to say the material was bad. I informed them that nothing was wrong with the material. The next call the person stated that the force of the wind blew them off. I informed him that we were outside in the wind and rain. I told him the soffits came down duebto POOR WORKMANSHIP. He asked me have I ever installed soffit. I informed him I have, because my father built house.Get Coastal Exteriors, Inc. Response

Get Coastal Exteriors was hired by my Grandmother to complete a roof repair in 2016. We contacted the company for a copy of the the warranty. After providing the representative (Julie) with information to retrieve the records, we were told that we would receive a follow-up call at a later date to verify the warranty details. After a week of waiting for a follow-up, we contacted the office again. This time we were told that they were unable to relocate the warranty records, since they had switched from paper to digital records in 2017. The rep also stated that based on our description of the work done to the roof, we would have only received a 1-year warranty as a repair warranty, not the 10-year warranty for a full roof replacement; but neither warranty would be valid due to Hurricane Irma in September 2017. This is when things started to get not only unprofessional, but unethical. We asked the rep to provide a sample copy of a 1-year and a 10-year warranty so that we could review the terms to understand the contracted my Grandmother signed in 2016. The rep then stated that she would send the info via email. Once the email was received, we noticed that there were no attached documents, merely the following statement: "As per our conversation, since this was a repair and not a full roof replacement, there is a one year warranty. Also, hurricane Irma came thru our area September 10, 2017 which would have voided any warranty..." This was not what we had requested from the business. We called back and spoke with the rep again to clarify the request. This is when she refused to send a standard copy of company's warranties because she needed to review them first to make sure everything she'd told us was correct. We asked to speak with the owner. He sent over a copy of a one-page, 1-year warranty via a Word.docx file that had been created just moments before. We believe the roof work is still under warranty and this is why they did not fulfill our request.Get Coastal Exteriors, Inc. Response

We are sorry you feel this way. Our warranty is industry standard and unfortunately due to the Hurricane, just like manufactures warranties, they are voided. Furthermore, you received a one year warranty since it was a repair. Now we've received a 1 star review, for a repair that was only supposed to fix the roof issue for a year, and the repair made it 5 years and withstood a Hurricane...I am sure the people that read this and our response will see through your false claim.Customer Response

Your warranty policies may be correct but our issue and doubts come from the lack of professionalism and ethics. A sample copy of any warranties you offer customers should not be difficult to release for a customer to review. It is a simple and valid request. The fact that you did not have records of your work and initially refused to send us any type of warranty to review is questionable. Potential customers should know that when doing business with your company, professionalism and ethics are 1-star worthy.Review from Jean G

GET Coastal Exteriors Inc. received a 5 star rating from me. Jared salesman and Sally H. production manager were both professional and pleasant answering all of my questions. A crew was brought on which I believe to have been extra workmen due to our weather and roof was done in record.time. Very clean with pickup of old shingles and etc. An inspection was done by Sally H. the next day of the roof . Very professional job and I highly recommend them .Review from Teresa H

We had a roof done a few months back. We had problems with the spouting when they completed the roof it was hammered and had dents the whole way around house. They did send a person out to fix but it still looks very bad. They tried to cover bad spots up with paint. Second problem was nails that went down our exhaust fan over stove. They came out again and hammered around thought it was fixed and we had to take microwave out and buy a new one the nails went into the fan. Company said they would pay for half of it which was only $248.00. Had a call weeks ago saying check was in the mail would have in 2 days. I have called numerous times since than and they are avoiding sending it out. We will know once we have a few days of good rain if it leaks. Considering the cost was 16,000 for the roof I would think they would take care of their issues they caused, correctly. We have been very patiently waiting for them to take care of things it has been months!
