In November 2020, I called a few gutter companies for estimates and Forever Clean Gutters was one of them. The estimator came and gave me an proposal. I agreed to the proposed price and the materials to be used shown on the estimate. A date was set. I waited and waited but no one showed up or called. I called the Tampa Office, the head office, the rep but no one returned my call. Finally I managed to get hold of the estimator. He told me that they have decided not to take my job. Upon pressing further, the estimator revealed that he would be losing money on the job since the gutter specified on the proposal was a different size from the norm and that would cost much more. That is when I sensed the reason why no one returned my call. Initially they were so eager for my business but when they realized that it was not a good deal for them, they decided not to honor the proposal. They were not even professional or ethical enough to let me know. I called and called every day but I did not hear from anyone. Finally they told me verbally that they would do the job but at a higher price. At this point I was tired of dealing with such a sleazy company. Today, December 2, 2022 after a year has passed, I received a "ransom note" from a debt collector All Debt Solutions stating that I owe Forever Clean Gutters $292.50. I called All Debt Solution and I was told that since I did not cancel the proposal within 3 days they have the right to charge me. They stated that it was in the agreement. Firstly, I waited for more than 3 days for them to return my call as I was still hoping for them to do the job. I wanted them to do the job so badly but they refused knowing that they would lose money on the deal. Secondly, no way was there in the contract stating that I have to cancel within 3 days or there would be a charge. Now of desperation, they turn around and try to collect a debt which they had created by walking away from the job when there was no money to be made. Instead they figured out a way to charge for doing nothing to enrich themselves. THIS IS DEFINITELY A COMPANY YOU DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH! There's no way in the world I would pay even though it is a measly sum of $292.50. I would rather hire an attorney if need to then pay them. If you hire FOREVER CLEAN GUTTERS, you would be taking a great risk. BUYER BEWARE!!!
