They don't care about patients...My mother went in to get a crown treatment done after her root canal treatment recently. She was originally quoted that her insurance would cover some of the cost.ONLY almost a week later, my Mother goes in for her first appointment, and AFTER she pays, she is told that the insurance will NOT cover; although the money should return quickly.I call the office to further understand how something like this can happen. I end up speaking with the office manager. I ask why is it that she was originally quoted that the insurance would cover and now it does not - NOT why she will not be covered but HOW she was incorrectly quoted.Immediately, she attempted to brush off any accountability and said the error on the quote was due to the endodontist who conducted the root canal. That is wrong, since the crown treatment plan invoice was written by THIS office. She then says I don't know who wrote it. Dodging responsibility once more, I tell them it has YOUR general dentist name on it.She finally at that point, with no sincerity, admits they made the mistake and takes the blame for it - barely. And I quote "I guess". Atrocious. They did not care whatsoever about the fact that they wasted our time and money. My Mom has to take time off work (unpaid), for them to tell us, whoops ************* we have to spend more time on top of the time they made us waste for no good reason looking somewhere else, while my Mom has a hole in her mouth, when this could have been taken care of already.I wouldn't be writing this, if they were more sincere and took accountability right away. I work for *************** at one of the largest Hospital in *******. I know exactly how customer service should be handled and THIS is unacceptable.-09/10/2024Greenberg Dental & Orthodontics, PA Response

Wow the experience I had with the receptionist this morning was un believable rude is the word that best describes her because I needed her to run both of my insurance she got and and told me that she doesn't have time to check it out with an attitude so if this is how you greet paying customers then no thank you I've been to Greenberg dental before at the same location and was treated better this new office staff is horrible and they never have to worry about me visiting this location on Busch and 56th street in Tampa ever again treat people with dignity and respect especially if they are spending their own money and I will be contacting the corporate officeReview from Valarie G

I cannot give zero stars or I would. I had a dental appointment on the books for 6 months from my last cleaning. I received the text the night before confirming my appointment at the Greenberg Dental on ***********. I showed up the next morning for my 7:30 appointment. Front door was locked. There was staff in there and it looked like they were having work done. Instead of the staff coming to the door to tell me that they were having work completed and to apologize for not letting me know my appointment wasn't there, they sent the contractor out and he said I must have been mistaken that my appointment was probably at the ************* Since the Gulf to Bay address is the only address I've ever been to I highly doubt that since no one called to let me know about the construction going on. I have asked repeatedly for a phone call to discuss what the issue was and I am absolutely ignored. I thought they had finally found a dentist that gave a **** about their clients but I am mistaken.Review from Cindy H

100 scam. I was overcharged they gave me unnecessary treatment and in one visit drained my whole years woth of benefits, over 5k. They saw me coming....they rob elderly people on medicare blind. They charged me for 2 occlusal adjustment one week apart when it was done in a hurry incorrectly the first time they charged me for osseous surgery for a scaling and root planning and 2 minutes with a laser.....very sketchy. Didnt want to explain. Shame on this business.

I'm writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had at Greenberg Dental St. Pete. The unprofessional, unreliable, and incompetent behavior of the staff, from the front desk to the pediatric dentist, left me and my 6 year old son emotionally distressed and incredibly disappointed. Upon arrival, I was informed that my son's insurance was inactive, despite my consistent monthly payments and active coverage. When I inquired about the lack of prior communication regarding this issue, one of the staff members, in a judgmental and contemptuous manner, suggested that it was my responsibility to stay on top of my son's matters, not theirs. This comment was not only unprofessional but also completely unfounded. After clarifying the insurance issue with the provider, the staff once again demonstrated their incompetence by claiming they had not received the medical clearance paperwork that was sent two months prior. This claim was contradicted by confirmation emails from both my son's doctor and Greenberg Dental's coordinator, as well as the front desk staff member's acknowledgment of the paperwork's existence moments before. Despite the clear evidence that they had lost this document, the staff continued to deny receiving the clearance and threatened to cancel my son's appointment. The dentist, instead of acknowledging the error and apologizing, further escalated the situation by threatening to dismiss us for refusing to provide the supposedly missing paperwork. This behavior was not only insensitive but also demonstrated a complete lack of accountability. Throughout this ordeal, none of the staff took any responsibility for their mistakes or offered any apologies. Their disrespectful and unprofessional conduct towards both me and my son was utterly unacceptable. I left feeling distressed, mistreated, and deeply concerned about the quality of care my son would have received under such unprofessional individuals.Review from Anne R

This business is terrible. The office staff doesn't answer the phone and think nothing of hanging up on you when you do reach them! The dentists do not seem to know the dental criteria for procedures as my insurance denied payment for two different procedures. I am stuck with a crown lengthening little bitty tooth which I don't know if it'll last or what. I am done with them.Review from L. D.

My husband went to this location for a partial front tooth plate. In less than a year it broke. He returned to Greenberg Dental and they said that since it had been less than a year, they would replace it. They took impressions and said it would be approximately 2 weeks for the appliance to be made. After a month, my husband went in and then the story changed. Now they said they would be sending him to a new Dentist for a "Fresh Start." They promised to call with the name of the new Dentist. They never called. When my husband checked again, the story changed. Now Corporate said they would rather refund his money and he could find another Dentist. They promised the check and then said the check had been mailed out. After a week, the check had not arrived. He checked again and the story changed again. Now the check would be mailed to the office and he could come and pick it up. Today the New Doctor (they change doctors like underwear) called to say that my husband would have to return the damaged appliance in order to get the refund. What this would mean is that my husband would have to find a new Dentist, wait to get an appointment, get X-rays and impressions done and wait several weeks to get his teeth, while going without front teeth. No one should have to go without front teeth, but my husband is a Chef and deals with the public which makes it worse. This could take at least a couple of months, since getting an appointment with a new dentist can easily take a month. We are now considering legal action against them.Greenberg Dental & Orthodontics, PA Response

Awful. The scheduling people rarely return call, will PROMISE things and then never up or through. Orthodontist is always on vacation and difficult to schedule around. Find somewhere else to go, anywhere else.Review from Ebony L

I was referred to an Endodontist at Greenberg Dental 2702 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa, FL 33614. When arriving I was told to have a seat, only to be waiting for the receptionist "KATHLEEN L" that was going to be a nightmare, little did I know. Kathleen never acknowledged me when I got to the desk. After asking for my license and insurance card, handing it to her in her hand, she threw it back on the counter, which is rude towards the customer. She then had me to complete another new patient form only for one of the other ladies to tell her I did have to. Next, she threw the receipt and card being used to pay for the consult on the counter. After seeing the dentist and having instructions from him to ask Kathleen about the discount given by the company seeing they were not using the insurance (for whatever reason they decided not to), Kathleen informed me "WE DON'T HAVE PAYMENT PLANS" I said to her "I am asking you about the pricing on the paper, I did not inquire about a payment plan. I am asking about what the dentist had said. Before I could finish saying this to her, she cut me off again, "Whatever 5 and 31 says". She'd said this to me as if I speak dental language, then proceeds to say again "WE DON'T HAVE PAYMENT PLANS". I asked the young lady who assisted me in the back to go ask the Dr. what he'd said so she could tell Kathleen. That young lady looked at Kathleen in fear as if she needed her permission to move. Kathleen then got up and ask the Dr herself, coming back rudely once again. I'd told Kathleen she wasn't listening and she was being rude and at that time she yelled, "YOU CAN LEAVE!" "LEAVE! YOU CAN GET OUT!". I then let her know I will be filing a complaint on her where at the time she yells and it's 'KATHLEEN L! when you do!". I politely walked out at that time. For an office to continue to employ someone like this says a lot about the place. There was no greeting to any of the patients. Dental offices can be scary just by the thought of them.Greenberg Dental & Orthodontics, PA Response
