Do yourself a favor and avoid this nightmare of a company at all costs!!! Two homes, two pools and 5 years and NOTHING BUT ISSUES. Their technicians will not clean your filter, leading your pool equipment to fail. They will leave the filter top off, running your pump dry and the pool equipment will fail. They will leave the pool pump running 24/7 for 8 months, leading to astronomical electrical bills. Everything is an up charge. Algae remover that costs $15? $180. Pump that costs $500 retail? Prepare to pay $1,500. Every business should turn a profit, but they should not charge 3x plus what things cost and they should not ruin your equipment, either purposefully or by the negligence of their technicians. Our home is for sale and yesterday we discovered the pool was green. The technician was out 5 days before that. I called Fountain Blue, and overheard them say Oh I have another one calling. Clearly there are some issues with the technicians. They promised to have a supervisor come out Tuesday (today) to shock the pool. The supervisor ****** came to check out the pool, and called me to discuss. He said he didnt have permission to shock the pool and that the pump motor was completely broken. I told him I had been assured it would be shocked. He had to call the office to ask. After some back and forth, which I expressed concern over why my 1 year old pump was broken and that the technician never cleans the filter and didnt inform me 5 days ago it was broken, ****** yelled at me and refused to give me a quote for a new pump motor. He also refused to shock the pool. I called the office and spoke to ****** about my frustration and how important it is the pool looks nice when its being shown. She quoted me $1,700 for a new pump, which cant be installed until Friday. I asked them to take care of it today, she refused. I had someone else come out to check the pump and they discovered the circuit was tripped and the pump isnt broken (this time.) Crooks!!

    Fountain Blue Pools Response

To Whom it May ************* would like to thank the Better Business Bureau for providing a platform for consumers and businesses to voice their concerns.  Before replying to the customer and the ********************** I do the proper due diligence to provide the best and most accurate information.

Fountain Blue Pools offers pool equipment from three different manufactures, all with different price points,  as well as warranty.  Our goal is to always remain competitive without compromising quality.  Upon reviewing the file I noticed the homeowner purchased a pump from another vendor, not Fountain Blue Pools.  The homeowner also made a decision to install the pump on their own.   All manufactures offer a warranty on equipment.  I would recommend that the homeowner call the warranty station for that particular manufacturer. The homeowner will be instructed to email the invoice for purchase validation; after which, claim is sent to a warranty center for scheduling. When the technician is dispatched they will determine installation correctness and then they determine if it falls under warranty parameters.  If the homeowner hasnt exercised this option I would encourage them to do so.

Swimming Pools and the equipment that supports the pool are very complex.  I find on a regular basis that repairs weather to the pool or the equipment are placed on the bottom of the priority list.  When the equipment isnt running optimally it effects the pool vessel, chemistry and so on. Adding chemicals to a pool when the equipment isnt running is counterintuitive.  It is imperative to have working equipment to achieve optimal results.

Substantiating what another company said is impossible to determine.  What I can impress upon is that Fountain Blue Pools will always try to reach resolution with our clients. If Fountain Blue Pools can assist with equipment or pool chemistry please call and we will do everything to assist with resolution.

    Thank you kindly,
