I trusted to receive honest and quality repair. With a mission statement of, Our solutions to global challenges are driven by our mission to drive prosperity through transport and infrastructure solution I thought I was in good hands. Instead, after paying $3,202.50 for repairs (DEF pump replacement) on my ****** and getting my driver back on the road, my truck broke down once more. This issue not only put my driver in danger, but led to delays in transporting a load to the carrierloss of money. I then took my truck to another ***** dealership for more diagnostics and told I need to replace the wiring between the chassis harness and ***additional cost of $1419.84. After noticing there was an issue with the **** I looked back at the technicians notes on the invoice from Iowa, Looked and did not find a DEF leak, tried to run a DEF pump pressure/leak test, cannot run test due to *** not getting any power. Has a ton of open circuit codes, unit needs new DEF pump installed. If the *** wasnt getting power that should have been addressed before moving on to replace the DEF, instead completely bypassed to replace a DEF they could not determine even needed replacing. I called other ***** dealerships and inquired about such cases, they all state if a DEF pump failed you would not be getting cel's for loss power and loss communication to the *** for that failure and in the event there is power loss you would not be able to properly acutate the pump to see if it was good or bad. So I contacted their management to ask why the technician would replace a DEF pump if he was not able to determine or run proper test/confirm that there was even a leak. Also, why after the installation the DEF pump did he neglect to check for leaks or confirm what was replaced actually functioned. His response, Some repairs can be this way. That being said it doesn't fix your problem unfortunately. Furthermore, I have talked and looked in depth to this case given our techs note were vague..
