Horrible to work with. Contracted him to finish a basement in ***********. I was told basements generally take about 8 weeks to complete. I accepted the bid which included allowances for lighting, bathroom vanity and carpet. Construction began in mid June 2021. The project was finally (almost) completed in early November. I say almost because despite numerous drop ins to touch up, the paint job is still atrocious. I've given up asking him to fix it as he has proven himself incompetent.Throughout the project he would constantly show up unannounced, or not show up when he indicated he would. We have dogs and young kids so it was important that we let the dogs outside before people arrived at the door to avoid barking and waking the kids up from naps, with no notice we were unable to accomplish this. It was evident early on that there was little to no forward thinking or planning happening. Nothing was ordered ahead of time, so there were constant delays because materials weren't in stock. The layout of the office was changed without informing us, leaving me with an oddly shaped room where the closet of 1 room juts in and the office closet cuts into the usable space of the office. He went over budget on the bathroom vanity without our knowledge or consent, installed a door in the utility room that I specifically requested not be included at the start of the project. In under a month of having the basement "completed" I have already had to repair ethernet connections I was told would be made, leaky undersink pipes, loose doors that had been put up and taken down so many times the s**** holes had been stripped. I will have to fix the paint where the wall meets the ceiling and recaulk all the windows, as none of that work was completed properly. We had requested a ceiling fan in the bedroom, but no box was put in so that cannot even be installed without significant work. All in all this was a frustrating experience. I HIGHLY recommend looking for another contractor.
