    I am attempting to pay past due HOA assessment fees to McGill Manangement only to be told to contact: when I looked up this email/company I discovered that it is a fraudulent site and further investigating proved it was a front for one of the residents who lives in my building. I contacted McGill Management and asked that they request a a copy of the “court documents” and they refused—only giving me the above mentioned email address, to prove it was fake. At the same time McGill Management is not allowing me to make a payment through its folio site, stating “your folio account is locked”. I report to McGill Management that the Woodlawn Terrace Association board in Joliet, IL is a fraud/front and asked that they turn this matter over to authorities. Keep in mind, that the Woodlawn Terrace Association located in Joliet, IL board was under review for a conservatorship several years ago because they were mishandling the money. Its “board of directors” consisting of just other residents of the complex, uses threatening tactics such as I am receiving to make residents pay exorbitant “legal fees” which do not follow any legal structure. McGill Management is aware that this is going on. I spoke with Christopher Kelly, CMCA, Senior Community Association Manager and tried to rectify the past due fees and he directed me to the fake board “attorney” again this is not a valid board attorney.

    While we apologize for your frustration, unfortunately once your association dues are turned over to collections, management is no longer allowed to speak to your account without it going to the attorney.
