How does Great Northern get an A+ rating from BBB when they are one of the worst Insurance Agencies out there?! Ive used them off & on for the past 30 ************ used to be good but havent been any good for a number of years now & are at their worst since merging w/UAI. I used to get letters all the time from the President, cant recall his name, when they wanted my business again stating they will work with me on my terms in order to come backhavent seen a letter like that in years. And their prices are no longer affordable. They lie about the numbers they give you as wellthe 6 month quote number does not match the down payment number & monthly payment number yet do not give you a break down of where every single ***** of your payments are goingfinance charges, fees, or what & who knows what the fees are that are being slapped on our bill. A $554.00 down payment request for a 28 year old car liability only & full coverage on a newer car that isnt a specialty car, expensive car or a muscle car is absolutely ridiculous & absolutely unaffordable. All their response was, rates went up. You can get cheaper insurance with non below average insurance companies so why havent their rates went up? People cant afford that! So needless to say, I did not renew with them. Its very challenging as it is to find the best rates & even then who knows if thats the best rate as all it may be is a better rate than what you previously had as all insurance is expensive in general but Great Northern Insurance tops the cake. And again, they arent the insurance company so why they are called Great Northern Insurance is beyond me. And the people who work for them are not true insurance agents as they are not knowledgeable nor are they working directly for the insurance company they assign to you once your policy is produced. I have run across a few knowledgeable employees but over all, there isn't. They do nothing to keep your businessthey just keep gouging you
