I went to Peter Francis Geraci to see if I could file a bankruptcy because I have quite a few bills that I am unable to pay. There was a free consultation via zoom. I authorized a deposit to get started and set up a bill payment plan in which work could not be started until all the money was paid. This started in maybe the end of May 2024. NO work was ever done. On 9/18/24 I told them I was going through a crisis and could not afford the bankruptcy and to refund my money. It took 2 days for someone to reply back to me. When I did start receiving refunds of payment of $920 it was in pieces for a total of $420. I sent a message with NO reply so I called the office to get an explanation. They sent me a list of charges for which one their paperwork NEVER stated that their was NO refund. The charges were for Attorney work done $275, Attorney work prep $137, document $50, preparation for the petition $350. NONE of this could be done because the fee was not paid in it's entirety and they only had check stubs. The person I talked was NOT very nice as I told him that I had a death in my family and they couldn't have possibly stated any work because they had NOTHING to go on nor did they have all of the money. He said he would talk to him manager and get back to me. It has now been 3 days and I have heard from NO ONE. I wish I'd NEVER went to them; I should've chosen another avenue. I just need my money back to get my loved one settled.I hope you can help me.********* *****
