I brought my car there to have my alternator replaced. Their website quoted me $539 for parts and labor, but upon bring my car there I was told the repair was going to be over $800 not including tax as they said this job would take 3 hours. I've replaced alternators in previous cars of mine, and I've watched ******* videos of it for my particular car. This shouldn't take more than 45 minutes start to finish if you have a lift, you slip off the serpentine belt, remove two bolts holding a bracket on, remove three bolts securing the alternator, and disconnect a wiring harness from the alternator and remove one nut on the rear of it. There is no way this could possibly take 3 hours even DIY without power tools. They refused to bring a tech out to look at the car and explain how it would take 3 hours. They refused to honor their own quote. They refused to let me talk to a manager about why the quotes from their website aren't being honored. I've decided to check some of their other quotes, to replace my serpentine belt they want $200. The belts themselves are $30 and based on their $170 labor rate, they for some reason think a 5 minute job really takes an hour. All you do is put a long ratchet on the tensions, slip it off, route the new belt and put it back on the tensions. If you want to be grossly overcharged, this Acorn location is a great choice.
