READ THIS REVIEW: I have been in the import business for many years, and I will tell you that my experience with *********************** and *************** at OEC Group ******** was the worst experience have ever had with air freight. *********************** had been looking to earn our business for air and sea freight shipments so over a year and I always told him that we are willing to give any company that works hard a shot. On 12/13/21 we sent a signed proposal to OEC for an air shipment. After the shipment had already departed, *********************** called to tell me that there was an internal error and that he calculated the cost of the airfreight based on gross weight and not volumetric, therefore the chargeable weight would double the cost to almost $7,000 AND that he will put our clients shipment into storage if we do not pay prior to delivery (which was in a few days). His quote even indicated the accurate volumetric weight, but he never checked any of this before confirming the booking with the airlines. Now, to make things worse *********************** has absolutely no sense of accountability or ethics, so his only response to this entire situation was as 13% discount and to say, "I sent over my best rates for this shipment, and I cannot go any lower." This is a perfect example of a person who has no regard for the company they represent or their professional relationships. Obviously, my company is NOT going to pass these costs on to our client because that is not what I would expect if I was them and we regard our professional relationships with the utmost respect. Therefore, we were held hostage by a child (***********************) and his incompetent boss, ***************, and forced to take a huge loss for merely trying to give a new company a shot at our business. When we ask *************** what he thought was fair given OECs lack to even abide by their own terms and conditions which state: OEC will provide customer with notice of any changes to rates required under this provision and Customer with have ten (10) days to accept or reject any adjusted rates hereunder, ***** XUs response was we will have to stand by our invoice. In closing, none of my companys would ever recommend OECs services AND we would absolutely not recommend anyone looking to work with OR hire either *********************** or *************** if you are looking for an employee or partner who values anyone elses interests except their own.
