They sold us an **, knowing we would be taking it out in freezing weather. My husband told the salesman that he wanted to use it when he went deer hunting. ****, the salesman, said this ** would work great for that. What we found out after the purchase was that it is a 3 season trailer and should not be used in freezing weather. We are new to ** ownership and were not aware that there are 3 season trailers. They lied to us in order to make a sale! Now, we are stuck with an ** that cannot be used in the way we want. That was the reason we purchased the ** and we sat with the salesman for an hour discussing it. **** even spoke about his hunting experiences with my husband. He also told us that the solar would power the ** and heater. It will not. We needed a generator. They did give us a generator, because of that lie that was told to us. The manager would not admit that **** lied! After all, he has worked there for over 30 years! Basically they told us what was needed to make the sale. It was all lies! I would not recommend this business to anyone! Because we complained, we were told that they would not be doing any further business with us! They dont need to worry about that!Review from Monica C

We had a great experience with sales ***** Camping world in *********, **. **** the sale man and **** the manager were amazing. But when we had to have warranty work on our 2024 ***** , that we purchased in March of this year, the first couple of visits were fine, but these last two have been absolutely horrible. We had them install vent covers and rather than installing per manufacturer directions, they drilled holes directly into our roof, hopefully not voiding warranty. Then next visit to find a fault in a light, rather than checking the fuse box first they cut a hole in the underbelly of the camper and taped it with unacceptable tape, also left a gaping hole. When trying to address these issues, they just say they stand by the work. We are very thorough and meticulous with everything we own , substandard work is unacceptable. Camping world will never get our business again.Review from Meloldy L

We came in to look at a trailer and trade our current one. We found one we liked and let the salesman know we are not purchasing today. We negotiated a better price for our trade as the first one was an insult knowing they would make a HUGE profit on us. They kept wanting us to agree to a payment "if we get you to this payment, do we have a deal?" Terms we talked about was $2,500 down and $10,000 for trade. No paperwork signed, no amortization schedule was provided and have not even applied for financing at this point. Gave them down payment in good faith and made agreements to sign the next week. Went home and did our own math (we are both in finance). Amortization showed us paying $50,000 for a $22,000 trailer. (This is why the push the payment part so hard, they can get the payment you want but if you don't know how loans work, you are looking at ***** years of payments to get that monthly payment point) After looking around we found the same model for much less at several different lots. Hubby popped back in to ask if we could negotiate more, showed them our "homework." Finance *** said we are only 2nd ****** to ever do the math own our own. They would not even consider negotiating at all and was told that all of those others are junk and not worth it. Hubby said then we don't have a deal. The finance *** then said, "thanks for the tip, normally we don't get tipped until after the fact. Meaning that they are keeping the $2,500 down payment. Remember, we signed no contract and said so. They produced a form that was used to negotiate the trade and payment and tried passing it off as our contract. We can not enter into a legally binding contract if we do not know the terms. You can not agree to terms that are unknown. This is basic contract law. Further, in the state of ****, you must indicate in writing if a "Deposit" is refundable or not. Why would we give $2,500 that is non refundable before we even knew if we were approved for financing?Review from HL L

We were searching for a fifth wheel in ***** and had a dealer recommend a model to my family that was located in ***** ********. We made the drive to purchase the unit and pulled it back to *****. When purchased I was told I could take my ** to any camping world nationwide, as this was a perk of purchasing from camping world. Throughout the first year, we had multiple issues and could never get service completed on our unit in *****. We were told multiple times that Texas dealers would not service my unit and that they were unable to do to warranty contract work with **********. We spent $70,000 on a crossroads Volante at camping world and cant even take it to any camping world location in *****! I was told multiple times I could haul it back to ***** Oklahoma or particular states that had a service contract with crossroads. This was never disclosed to me to me and I cannot find it in my paperwork when purchasing this unit! I am now two years out since purchase and have been unable to get a single appointment for warranties Service done on my unit please note that they will allow me to pay them for the work but claim that they cannot complete any warranty work even though this was still under warranty! Do not buy from camping world! I have had my unit at camping World of Lubbock for four months with no work done. The manager continues to tell me I can call crossroads and request a warranty coverage from them, but camping world would do nothing further. I am at a loss, have been unable to use the ** we purchased from camping world brand new, and have been going in circles for over two years attempting to get this resolved with camping world! Very unsatisfied! *** I have called ****** ******* multiple times and do not get return calls or updates on what the status of my case number is. Im not satisfied to say the least, and have been turned off by this whole experience. Note to camping world- dont sell units that you cannot service!Review from Jonathan P

We brought our camper from the Ft *****, Fl store on 4/28/2024, when doing the walk thru we noticed that the pull out couch that turns into a bed was broken, they tried fixing it on site and said it couldnt be fixed so they would warranty it out. After going back and forth with this dealership and the manufacture for 4 months we finally got a new couch delivered to the dealership. It was such a hassle dealing with the dealership because the staff there doesnt return phone calls, they dont follow up on warranty paperwork and they generally dont care about your camper. The only reason I got a new couch was because I called the manufacture and hounded them to get a new one sent. On August 21st we had dropped off our travel trailer so the techs could go over issues we were having with the camper, so you would think during that time they would have installed the new couch,NOPE! We picked up the camper on August 27th so they had a week to install the new couch. We picked up the camper on August 27th and was told they would contact us within 30 days to bring it back in to get all the work done. I had to reach out the dealership on 10/14/2024 to find out what was going on since we had a upcoming trip and needed the items fixed. I was told via email that the only thing they were waiting on was a door latch and a table top but everything else was in stock and we could get those items fixed, and come back after our trip. I told the tech we were leaving at the end of October and needed it back prior to and he said it would take them a few days and we would get our camper back. On Oct 18th we dropped off the camper, and on Oct 28th I called the store to find out what was going on. The tech informed me that nothing had been completed on the camper. He stated they were waiting for more parts and they wouldnt be in till Nov 11th. I went over the email in which he stated they had all the parts expect for the two items. This store. business is the worst! Stay away!!!Review from Brian D

Camping World ********************************************* Ethics Issue After *** ******** was purchased by Camping World, I can no longer recommend them. I ordered a replacement rear bumper for my ****** ****** from Camping World's parts department. I paid for the bumper in full by credit card at the time of ordering, and agreed to pay for the shipping in cash when the bumper arrived. I was given a shipping estimate of $200 to $250.When the bumper arrived, the amount of shipping increased to $367.22. I asked for a copy of the shipping invoice, and after 7 minutes, the parts person gave me a copy which showed clear signs of white-out and alteration. The bumper also had a crease in it on one side, but since I could mount this downward where it wouldn't be obvious, I accepted the damaged part. The next day, I contacted ********* parts. They told me that shipping would be $200 to $250; the same as the original estimate from ************ Camping World. ********* parts also quoted me the retail price for the same bumper at one-third less, meaning Smokey Point Camping World charged me 50% over retail. The bumper took one full month to arrive, which seems like a long time. Could it be that this bumper was a "second," and was purchased at a substantial discount? I discussed these matters with the new **************** Manager at the ************ Camping World, and no refund of the over-charges was offered.I believe this is an ethics issue (or dare I call it swindling?). I recommend that you do not darken the door of this establishment.Review from John V

I've had an absolutely awful experience purchasing a Dometic fridge ($1650) from these folks. Fridge shipped without a panel, which makes no sense to begin with. Had I known this ahead of time, I'd have kept my old fridge panel. I sucked it up and paid $150 for a new panel from them, and when it came in the mail i saw that it does not fit. They will not accept it as a return, or provide ANY assistance on getting it cut to fit. They take zero responsibility, told me to call Dometic, which I did, they said that Camping World shouldn't be selling this as a related product because it doesn't fit. **********, *** hardware, local lumber yard will not cut acrylic. Apparently I need to spend another few hundred dollars on tools to do this... just to get a cover on my fridge. ************ I see a warning on the product page in bold text, "NOTE: Door panel (item ******) is sold separately and will requiring trimming to fit custom dimensions.", that was NOT there previously (*********** verifies this). So they've made an effort to cover their tracks (and deleted my negative review on the product page) but provide zero acknowledgement or assistance in making this right.I will never purchase from CampingWorld again, and I'd advise anyone reading this to shop elsewhere - they don't care about their customers.Review from Diana K

Despicable Business Practices! No integrity at all! They will take advantage of anyone they possibly can. The service department and finance department is full of people that do not tell you the truth about anything. Countless weeks of our unit being in service and literally getting nothing done to it. In the course of a year and a half, while our unit was in for service, they damaged our awning, they damaged a tire and wheel and then tried to blame it on us. They damaged our pantry door; had it in 3 times for the same leak and they never could get it right! There is literally no integrity in this particular business. We cancelled our extended warranty after going to another dealer and trading the unit purchased at **. They are telling me that it takes 8-10 weeks to get our money. This is simply another way that they show their lack of respect for the customer. ******, do not do business with this company!!Review from Bob M
