            We are a small dental practice who is in-network as a Premiere Provider w/ DD of IL and since June 2024 we found out that Delta Dental of IL requires claims from practices like ours, that have only one NPI, that only the dentist's name should be listed as the rendered provider in order to accept our electronic claims. The problem is that other insurance companies also require the name of the practice in order to accept/pay our claims sent electronically. All of our claims are set up to sent the same way. We tried mailing the claims (old school way) but their automated phone system says the claims were never received. We have over 21 unpaid claims that we have submitted to DD of IL. It is nearly impossible to talk to anyone to get this resolved. What they are asking for is not like any other insurance company including Delta Delta in other states...just Delta Dental of IL.

            **** place is a joke, delta Dental of illinois I was told that due to the frequency of me using my dental card that I would not be reimbursed for the dental visit which I lost $90 first. They tell me june tenth I was reimbursed, and the check was cashed and they never seen a policy or a claim for june twenty first so then I call the dentist to get them to file the claim for june twenty first then I am told They will not be reimbursing me for the 21st of June **** ********* Delta dental is a joke. It is a scam. They take your money and charge you. Whatever, and don't want to reimburse. Stay away from delta dental

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. The following describes our handling of this matter. The reviewer is covered under their employers group dental plan in which the employer selects the plan design and benefit frequencies. The reviewers plan has frequency limits for certain procedures. The plan covers two of the procedures the member received per calendar year. The reviewer had three of these procedures within three months, which exceeds the frequency allowance for this procedure per the reviewers plan. We believe this resolves this matter.
