I am compelled to share my previous experience with In & Out Moving, a company I hired for my local move from my previous home to my new residence approximately 1.5 miles away in ******, ******* in 2020. Unfortunately, my encounter with this moving company was far from satisfactory.Estimate Accuracy: During the scheduling process, I struggled to provide an accurate estimate of my belongings. This lack of precision may have contributed to some of the issues I encountered.Reluctant Staff: On moving day, I had three staff members assigned to assist me. Regrettably, one of them seemed unwilling to move proactively. Their reluctance added unnecessary stress to an already challenging situation.Communication Problems: A black staff member consistently made phone calls without actively participating in the move. I attempted to address this issue by offering to pay extra for their work, but it didnt improve the situation.Truck Disappearance: The most distressing part of the experience occurred after we loaded all my belongings onto their truck. Without any warning, they drove the truck far away from my house, leaving me in a state of panic. They assured me they would return the next morning, but this unexpected delay was unacceptable.911 Call: Frustrated and concerned, I contacted the manager or owner of the company and even contemplated reporting the incident to 911. Waiting for the trucks return was nerve-wracking.Monitor Explanation: When the truck finally reappeared, someone informed me that the black staff member wore a monitor from the policy department on their leg. Apparently, they needed to charge the monitor, which further added to the confusion. In summary, In & Out Moving provided an unprofessional and unreliable service. I strongly advise against using this company for your moving needs. The stress and inconvenience I endured far outweigh any cost savings, actually I paid much more than estimates plus a lot of tips.Sincerely,A Disappointed CustomerReview from Shelley B

My daughter hired them and let me start off by saying read the one star reviews first! I was there for the delivery and to put it simplythey broke a large storage cabinet because it was not strapped to the dolly, they broke her wash machine because they did not tape the lid down, they scuffed her walls and woodwork because they did not put up padding, they scuffed her leather couch because they did not wrap it an then chose to upend it on the concrete and spin it. Punctuality leaves something to be desired as well. Owner can post whatever ridiculous response he wants to but in the end it has been a week and he is still trying to get of any proper compensation. Washer alone is twice the price he offered to refund whatever 60 cents per pound is does not work for the damages and replacement fees! What a joke!Review from Laura S

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. NO STARS! From start to finish, this company is unprofessional, inexperienced, unable to communicate, and generally untrustworthy. We hired In and Out Moving in July 2021 for an interstate move. What a mistake! Packers arrived on moving day and walked off the job without communication that they did not have the packing materials needed to perform the task. So after many hours of trying to contact and address the situation, finally two movers instead of six showed up mid-afternoon to start packing. Over the rest of the day and the next, there were inadequate packers to complete the task. We Multiple phone calls to the owner were not responded too and no solutions were offered. The packing was delayed further by the limited crew not having the proper trucks, so they had to take the truck back to the warehouse to unpack. In short, it was two days of poor customer service, lack of quality, and overall poor communication. Unfortunately, we did not have any other options. The owner came on the second day and gave me his word that the delivery of our household would be smooth and professional. The exact opposite happened. We made multiple calls throughout the next few months to secure delivery details and to reconfirm with the management that the delivery would be a smoother process. We were flexible and arranged for a date that would be the best for the company. Moving day came. Phone calls and messages were unanswered. At 6 pm, the truck had still not arrived. Contrary to communications with the office, the truck left ************ left that morning and not the evening before for the 12 hour or more drive. The first truck arrived at dusk at 6:30 pm. We were asked to sign documents that we were informed verified the time of arrival and when asked to see the full document, the head mover said that his phone was not working. I am convinced that this was a lie and the continuation of poor, misleading business practices. Exhausted from waiting all day and with two young children that were nearing bedtime, we moved forward in unloading the truck. When the door was pulled up, there was our stuff THROWN into the truck. No padding. No organization. Limited to no care was taken with our items. No efforts were made to put rugs or plastic down once they began to unload. We had to ask. The few rugs that they had were dirty and soaking wet. In the dusk and with limited lighting in our new house, it was hard to see the full condition of our items. The second truck arrived at 8 pm. Again, items were just thrown in the truck. Half of these items arrived soaking wet. The Ryder trucks that were rented had leaked and/or items were packed during a rainstorm. Both might have also been possible. Our two couches were soaking and still have stains. We had to lay plastic and towels down to collect the puddles of water pooling below. Boxes were falling apart from the water and many arrived crushed. Lamps were broken. Picture frames were broken. The movers took pictures of the items and said that they would inform management. Frustrated with two young children who were up past their bedtime and unloading items in the dark of the night at the end of a long day was not the move-in day I had imagined nor were they similar to other previous move-in days. We were stunned. They left close to 10:30 pm to drive the 12 hours back to ************ that night. ( How is this legal?) There were assurances that someone would call us in the morning to rectify the situation. No one called until I contacted the office in the early afternoon. The office manager said she would follow up with the head mover and owner. I was asked to again provide pictures of the damaged items to file an insurance claim. Over 30 items were significantly damaged and the total value was over $10,000. Additionally, two couches were not delivered. Over the last three months, I have been in contact with the company weekly. Often 3-5 times a week to resolve the situation. Countless hours of my time, always initiated by myself. We were billed instead of the company that was on file and no steps were taken to credit our account and **** my husbands employer. Different strategies were proposed, weeks went by, companies were proposed. When I followed up on these conversations with the furniture repair companies they shared with me the process and that the company was told the cost. These businesses shared with me that they had many red flags in dealing with this company. In and Out Moving were not willing to pay to have the few items that could be repaired. I am not sure if an insurance claim was filed. There is a clear management problem. The owner refused to speak with me or to email me directly. After many weeks, I worked tirelessly with the companys former operations manager (second in three months) in his final days of employment to settle for $500, no return of items, and reimbursement for incorrect processing fees. STAY AWAY from this company! In & Out Moving Response

Our insurance offered $0.60/lb which the customer was not happy with, yet she declined our offer of additional insurance. We reimbursed the customer for the processing fess plus an additional $500. The customer went against word of bashing us online and is still unhappy with the resolution. I do not believe this is a fair response.
