We bought our miniature schnauzer from Teapup in June. We received pictures a couple of times and were impressed by their communication. Teacup was not my first choice as a breeder, but my husband liked them. When we went to pick him up (a 3 hour drive) and walked into the reception room I was immediately taken aback by the smell and dirty reception area. It was not what I was expecting from the pictures. They did give us all his vet history and went over what he was eating, etc. They finally brought him out to us and I immediately noticed he was not excited to see anyone and was overall indifferent to being held. I thought this was odd. There was a grooming/washing area behind the reception area and when the door opened my daughter said all she could see were rows and row of kennels/crates. I could not wait to leave. I am convinced at this point it is a puppy mill. I have gone back and looked at the remaining schnauzers and there are still some that have been sitting in crates and kennels for months. Im concerned these pups will be taken to kill shelters or pet stores to be sold. I would like to report them, but you need concrete proof, which I do not have. Our pup was extremely hard to potty train and it was as if he didnt know he needed to go outside to potty. He craves to be outside and at first it was like a whole new world to him. I can tell he wasnt out much or played with. He never whined or cried at night at all and slept for 10hrs straight the first two weeks as if he never had a full nights sleep. I do not recommend buying a pup from here and keeping them in business. I love our dog with all my heart but I also feel it was a rescue mission.Review from Mary O

I purchased an adorable little mini Schnauzer from Teapup last August. It was a long drive to get her, but the people were very friendly. The facility was clean and they were rotating pups out into the kennels as it was too hot for them to stay out long. When it was time to take her home, there was a long process of showing me the shots and treatments she had undergone. I was thoroughly schooled on how to take care of her and was given a full bag of puppy food, a toy of my choice, and a baby blanket. My friend who went with me said she didnt have to go through that much when she adopted her baby! My vet was impressed by her health and raved over her beautiful teeth. She was easy to potty train and is very eager to please. Most of all, my puppy is the friendliest, sweetest puppy Ive ever seen and everyone that sees her agrees. Shes smart, healthy, and has a lively spirit. She adores everyone, and even fawns over the newest baby in the family. I had real worries about buying a pup by phone with only a picture to go by, but Teapup made me a believer. Im very happy I got my pup there.

We love every pup we have as if they are our own, and it's a bittersweet moment seeing them leave us, but we know that they're going to be so loved in their new homes! We have purchased 2 dogs from Teapup. One of our ******** is 13 years and the other 11. Purchasing dogs through Teapup was a great experience; there was always someone to answer any questions we had. Although we live in ********, there were plenty of pictures of our puppies, their parents, and their play area. It was clear to us that these breeders love what they do. Our dogs have been healthy and very happy since day one. We will be using Teapup again.TeaPup Response
