While researching new Ford trucks on Carfax, I came across a 2023 Ford F150 Lariat being offered by Midwest Superstore of Hutchinson, Ks. The ad stated that the truck was new with only 6 miles on it. I live about 450 miles from Hutchinson, Ks in St. Louis, MO but figured the drive was worth it to be getting a truck that was exactly what I was looking for equipment and color wise. After driving 8 hours the next day my wife and myself purchased the truck after turning down an offer to test drive it since I've owned Ford trucks my whole life. After paperwork was completed we walked out with the sales person to put the temp tags on and prepare for the long drive home. The first thing we noticed was the tires were extremely dirty and the exterior was not much better. After waiting another hour and them taking it back into the service area twice to get it looking new we got ready to drive it home. That was when I noticed that the truck had almost 700 miles on it and hardly looked new. After talking to the sales manager and being told there was nothing they could do to make it right, I decided to take it up with the General manager, Curt Butler after I got home. After leaving 4 or 5 messages and never getting a call back from Curt, I decided to call Ford and open a complaint about being deceived about the milage. I always take extra care of my new trucks for the first 1,000 miles and don't drive them over 65 MPH since new parts are breaking in. For example, the owner's manual says “your vehicle requires a break-in period.” Ford recommends that for the first 1,000 miles owners should avoid driving at high speeds, heavy braking, aggressive shifting, or using your vehicle to tow. I have no idea how the truck was driven for that 700 miles that it was used. I would never buy another vehicle from Midwest Superstore since they didn't even have the decency to return my calls. Never has a new truck felt so used!

You drove 16 hours total to buy a vehicle that had a huge discount. We asked you to take a test drive, you refused. If you had taken a test drive you would have noticed the trucks miles. It's a new truck and is under warranty. Cars get miles on them from test drives and dealertrades, and thats what the truck was, a dealertrade. You still happily signed all the paperwork and drove home with your new truck.
