Culligan sales person came to our house and we ended up buy a whole water softener system in 2020. He said this is the system we would need to take care of the water problem we were having with rust, etc. Approximately the past 8 months or so we have been having a problem AGAIN with the rust coming back. This was the reason we got a new system! I had called a few times before with this problem, during covid and a tech called me and walked me through to regenerate the system. Still again, i called to complain that this system is not working. They then had Tim call me and i told him what was going on. He said "we will get this taken care of, let me call them and i will let you know. He then called me back and said well, we would have to send someone out to see whats going on and the service trip will be $******. RIDICULOUS! I said i am NOT paying that when i have been calling about this issue AND they even mentioned that when i called that they saw that i have called several times about this problem! He said "well the first year is free service calls. I did NOT need service the first year! And i didnt know it was only for a year! Now i am stuck with a 2 yr old system, paid almost $**** for and it doesnt even work properly! I have rust stains every week all over the shower, toilets, etc. and no help because i have to pay a $*** first (crazy high $$) for a service call! I should have listened to others before I purchased from them. Very sad and disappointed how this was handled with no resolution whatsoever.

After my 5 year contract with Culligan ****** ended Iast year I decided to cancel my Culligan service. Culligan came on 4/14/22 to pick up my water softener tanks and gave us the key to our garage. Since then I have been getting texts and emails about my past due bill for April's delivery of water softener tanks which I did not receive since the tanks were removed and not delivered. I've called Culligan ****** 5 times and each time they say they will close my account but they have not. I just received another email and this time they are assessing a late fee for a service they did provide.

I canceled my service, repeatedly requested a final bill and to close my account. I continue to get notices months later stating money is due. When trying to contact the company multiple times, I either get no response or a customer service employee states my account is closed. I continue to get notices of money due. I have spent multiple hours and calls trying to get this issue cleared.

We have been paying Culligan ******* for two years for their premium service plan, which is supposed to include monthly salt deliveries for the system. To date we have no evidence of salt treatments ever being provided and the equipment has not been maintained in any way. Despite many phone calls, messages, and complaints there has been no remedy for this situation We would at this point like reimbursement for the service contract for the past two years.

I originally signed up for Culligan in December of 2021. The sales member came out to my house and promised clean water, and water that you could drink straight out of the water faucet. But after multiple trips to my house, this was not the case. I was sold on the complete opposite. My water still terrible, left water and rust spots everywhere. The technician told me that none of this could be achieved with this system I was sold on. The only way to get what was promised at my sales call was to increase my system and pay even more money.

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/01/31) */ I called Justin 3 times, left voicemails to discuss this matter. Justin did call in upset due to our prices being higher than the competitor, I explained to him the services that come with our rentals. He did mention that he could get a drinking system and a softener for half the cost. I explained to Justin that I understood but salt, delivery, filter and filter changes are all included with our rental along with maintenance. I offered Justin a discount on our reverse osmosis to help and he denied that stating he did not want to pay any more than he is already paying. Justin wanted to schedule to have his equipment removed, as I did. When our tech arrived Justin stated that he did not want the equipment removed because he needed it. Ron said ok that is fine you can keep it in. Justin called back in nearly a month later and stated that he wanted to remove the equipment I did ask Justin if everything was working ok and he said yes that he can get it cheaper else were. I told Justin to give me a call if he decides that he would like to come back. During the initial sale, Justin told our sales rep that the competitors equipment he had was not working and is why he came to Culligan. I have tried to reach out to Justin to resolve this matter and left voicemails. From my understanding his reasoning to remove equipment was due to pricing being to high and not because of faulty equipment or what it can do. I tried to come up with a couple different ways around this to make his payments cheaper.

A business I worked for used Culligan ********* for water service. We cancelled the service in summer 2020 and the representative on the phone offered free continuation of service for 3 months. We said that would be great if all we then had to do was cancel the service after the 3 months. They said yes that is right and so we continued the service for 3 months and our balance we paid in full so there was a $0 balance due from the company to Culligan *********. At the end of the 3 months, we called and said we are officially cancelling our service and Culligan ********* sent the truck to pick up the equipment. The final bill had been paid and all the equipment was picked up in perfect condition. A few months later we started receiving bills from Culligan ********* which we called to report to them that our final balance was paid and the equipment was picked up and the service along with the 3 months of free service was cancelled in good order. They acknowledged this on the phone and again we believed the issue to be resolved. The bills have continued to come to me even though nothing is owed by the prior Corporation, which had been dissolved over a year ago. So I have now received a harassing call from a collector on behalf of Culligan ********* when A. nothing is owed B. the Corporation is dissolved C. I am an individual and not responsible for the debts, etc. of a dissolved Corporation . The fact that Culligan ********* has not kept accurate records of account cancellation/bill payment is tantamount to a scam and this experience has led me to never use Culligan ********* again nor recommend their services. Something is really wrong with this company. Beware.

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/01/25) */ Contact Name and Title: Mike *****/General Manage Contact Phone: ************ Contact Email: ********************* The customer was offered 3 free months of cooler rental in June 20' to keep the service. They continued to receive bottled water delivery during this time and the rental was reinstated after the 3 months. The customer then cancelled in December and we removed the equipment on 12/18. They had accrued a balance by this time that was not paid for, and the customer was not responsive in our attempts to collect the debt. We attempted to work with the customer to collect the balance on the account for a year and have now sent it to collections. The phone number of the individual who filed this complaint is what was provided by them on the contract for services, and no other phone number was provided. We tried once again to reach this customer to explain the balance that was owed, but still have not received a response. Consumer Response /* (2000, 13, 2022/01/27) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I spoke with the General Manager and he understood that it was a mix-up and stopped the collection activity and zero'd out our balance. I appreciate his effort in taking care of this for me.
