I bought a *** Sorento in November of 2023 paid 20 k for it. The motor went out on in June 2024. I took it back to *** thinking they would help me fix it since i bought it there. It was the complete opposite. It took them 6 weeks to send in the information for my warranty. I had to rent a rental car for these six weeks at 400 a week. They would not help me with any of that. I had to call them every day i even went up there twice. I got a hold of the service manager he was no help. l got a hold of the general manager he was no help. I pretty much had to get all of the info and send it in myself the only thing i could not get was the KID report. I even had to tell their advisor i needed a work order to sign because that was one of the things on the list that the warranty place required. After six weeks they finally sent in the KID report to my warranty. They erased the data before they sent it in. I feel like they did this on purpose so i could not see the motor was already ruined when they sold it too me. The warranty place had to send their own inspector out to inspect it. They did not cover it because they said the damage was there before i bought it. The *** store tried to charge me for the work the warranty place did i refused to pay it. They still charged me 175 dollars for my car to sit on there lot for 6 weeks. they quoted me 11,000 dollars to fix it. I took it to a different dealer ship had the work done for 5,000 and it was complete in 1 week. One of the times i went up there trying to get them to send in the info to the warranty place i was told this vehicle had a mile long list of problems and had been worked on lots there. That told me they were tired of working on it and did not want to mess with it anymore. Of course i was not told about this when it was sold to me. I was told it had been maintained well and a good running car. Now i have 25 K in a vehicle thats only worth about 8. i was out another 2400 on a rental care.

My mom bought a brand new car and had a good experience. She took me to get a used car a couple days later. I ended up buying a used Acura. I did test drive it but never got the speed up above 45. On my way home, I got onto the expressway and was doing 60 when the car starts shaking really bad. I took it back up there the next day and they told me to bring it up July 2nd. So I did. The did an alignment and charged me 130 for it and should've already had it done or should've done it as a courtesy. I have kids and can't afford to make payments on a car that breaks down right after buying it. I'm still shocked that they made me bring it back for service and made me pay. Oh, it didn't fix it either. It still shakes. I'll have to take it to a real mechanic.

My wife and I purchased a Kia Optima in September 2019 and another vehicle the following year, a 2021 Sportage. We have been making payments on two different vehicles from the same dealership for over 4 years. Last month, I had an issue where I had engine failure. This of course is not new to Kia, as for the last 10 years there have been engine issues with the Optima. Obviously this is not something explained when you purchase a car. My car has been inspected by Kia and it was determined that the engine just failed, not through anything that I did. I would have been willing to trade in the vehicle and get a new one, but they will not take my vehicle in trade unless the engine is fixed. I feel that the ethical thing to do would be for Kia to stand behind there product and replace my engine , as it is clearly only a matter of time before it falls under recall as many of their engines in the past 10 years have already done, or take my vehicle as a trade and allow me to get into another car . I had an extended warranty through ********* and they turned out to be a scam. My wife and I as consumers have done everything asked of us and it seems as though ********* and the Kia Store are more concerned about bottom line as opposed to addressing the concerns of loyal customers. I feel that i need to begin the process of hiring an attorney to address both ********* and The Kia Store, Kia has come a long way as far the looks of their vehicles, which is why my wife and I both bought one brand new. Apparently, they still have a long way to go with treating their customers as more than just a bottom line commision. Right is right and wrong is wrong.

I have a 2015 Kia optima that started making a knocking noise living in southern Indiana I called surrounding. Dealerships that were closer and he a corporation Nowhere around me could get me in until late October early November so I decided to search farther from my house and the Kia store on Preston highway in Louisville Kentucky can get me in on September 12 for a diagnostic appointment after reading online more and doing some research I discovered that my car is included on a Rod bearing issue that Optimus around that year are having and 10 to cause metal shavings in the oil and oil pan so I decided to change the oil and while it drained out of the engine go ahead and screen it and I discovered a large amount of metal shavings in the oil I called back and the service person I talk to you was a female and I believe her name is Christy told her the situation and she went and talk to someone and then came back on the phone and told me to go ahead and bring the car in before the 12th and they will try to work it in and if they were Unable to at least the car would already be there for the appointment on the 12th and so I drove 1.5 hr one way hauling my car. Only to get there and “Tara” to tell me that they’re not a storage facility and I would have to take my car back home and bring it back on the 12th So on the 12 I drive 1.5 hr back down hauling my car to the dealership. When I got a call nov 9th that my car was ready I was excited until I got there and got my keys back. There were two large scratches on each of the front doors, the hood also had bunch of scratches on it I assume they probably took it off to put the “new” refurbished engine in it. Under the hood was even more issues there was a large amount of oil standing in the v of the front valve cover. The fur trees on the wiring harness weren’t seated into the block of the engine and the secondary locks weren’t locked either. Also there’s a significant vibration in the the engine
