On Oct. 13, 2022 Dr. ***** ** ******* *** abruptly closed her practice (sent a notice in E-mail), and on Oct. 19, 2022 announced in another E-mail her office was permanently closed. She left a notice taped to her front door as to a PO Box in Mandeville LA where patients could write to request their dental records be transferred to patent's new dentist. I've E-mailed and written to this PO Box requesting my records be transferred. My new dentist wants the records in digital form, not in paper form. All I've received so far are print outs of a couple pages of X-rays and a half page of services performed on dates of service since May 2019->June 2022 (my last appointment. My new dentist is also appropriately trying to get my records in advance of an early January 2023 new patient appointment. This dentist "retired" very abruptly with no prior indication of her intention to go out of business, and gave only a week to interact with office staff about records requests. 14-15 patients of ***** ** ******* DDS who've joined the same dental practice I just joined have reported to my new dentist they too are receiving incomplete records transferred and a lack of cooperation, lack of cooperation with the new dentist sending records requests, lack of cooperation with former patients requesting dental records. I don't know what happened to ***** ******* DDS's practice to close so suddenly. But it's unprofessional to treat former patients and dental office colleagues in other practices so oddly, so incompletely. You can only be in touch with her in writing via a Post Office Box. I felt I received very good dental care as a Medicare Advantage patient in the three years I was a patient in her practice. I'm apparently one of many receiving shabby business of dental care now that her practice is closed. I wish Dr. Sanchez DDS and former staffers peace and beneficial new employment at more ethical dental practices, former patients excellent new dentists, going forward.
