    This is a warning to current and possible future customers of ******************** currently named Fran's Auto Repair. The initial appointment for replacement of front left wheel bearing was at 7 AM on Thursday 6/13/24. Upon arrival **** informed me that the labor will take up to 2 hours (Part was purchased in store). He had several cars ahead of me and requested to leave my vehicle overnight; I declined, and we agreed for the next morning. I brought my vehicle in around 7 AM and picked it up around 12:30 PM. That same day I noticed an abrupt grinding noise while driving and turning the steering wheel. I gave it a little over a week before contacting **** and informing him of the sound. I went in 6/26/24, and he informed me that the shop is attempting to take a vacation, are overwhelmed due to amount of cars that need to be worked on in the lot; Requested I come back after vacation which I declined. Furthermore, I told him I will be driving from ************* to ***** very soon; We agreed on 6/28/2024. While car was in shop prior work was to be reviewed and any adjustments that needed to be made also a charge up for the air conditioner. When I picked that car up I was informed no issues were found with prior labor. While driving to ***** what began as a constant tapping sound in the left front of car became sound of a helicopter upon my return (A voicemail was left regarding this). A visit to ***** Dealership revealed the Left front axle nut not properly tightened down correctly and is loose causing excessive play and noise while driving. Which had to be replaced and several test were done to ensure further damage wasn't done to left wheel bearing or suspension components. When I contacted **** requesting a refund (Mechanics name is ****** or *******) and to be credited for the payment made to the dealership he became irate, refused to take accountability for the mistake made. The tire could've abruptly came off while on the highway.
