CHECK FRAUD AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE: I was a customer of ******************** ****** a year ago. I had not used them since July of last year. Just this week, I saw on my bank account that I had a pending check withdrawal. When I looked at the picture of the check, it was a check that I had written out to Boston ******. however the date on the check had a 4 written over the 3 for the year. I immediately called Boston ****** and left a message. *** shortly called me back. I explained the situation and that I believed someone had written this years date over the check I had given over a year ago. *** told me that he assumed I had made an error on the check, so he "held the check for a year". I asked why didnt I get a call from anyone at the company if there was a question about my check, to which *** said that they try not to embarrass their customers. I said this would not have embarrassed me one bit and I wouldn't been amenable to fix any error I had made. But I simply did not believe I had made the mistake.*** continued to repeat that people are sometimes distracted when picking up/dropping off their dogs and this must have been my mistake when I wrote the check. I have the carbon copy of my check WITH THE CORRECT YEAR on it. I feel I was basically gaslit and made to feel like I had made the error myself. They likely lost my check and just now found it and wanted to deposit it. But a simple phone call to explain what happened would've made me happy. I am currently disputing this with my bank. I will never recommend Boston ****** to anyone ever again. I am so disappointed by the response from *** about my issue. I did send him a picture of the carbon copy of the check and said I had proof I did not make the mistake and what was done to my check by someone at his company is illegal and literally fraud.
