I hired Spillanes to do just over $93K worth of work on my new home. I hired them for a $6k fire pit, $38,502 for 60,000sf of sod, a new $16.5k irrigation system and all of the property landscaping. They installed a fire pit for me that they subbed out. The company never used high temp concrete and within the first 2 months began to fall apart even after just a few fires. After calling them to come out and look at it they did. They tried to get the original ***** they subbed the work out to come back and they did. They tried to patch up the work with concrete which looked horrible. After they saw this and tried to get the sub to come back they refused to. They hired another company to come out and put a blue stone cap on it basically putting lipstick on a pig. Immediately after thy cracked and failed to remain attached to the fire pit. They should have torn the whole thing down and fixed it correctly as I was told by 2 masons that I eventually had to bring in to fix it. The next piece was the irrigation system. Their quote very clearly called out what was to be installed including 18 Zones, 73 ***************** Rotary Heads, 60 Hunter Spray Heads. I assumed they installed what they said they were contracted to installed. After year 1 I noted that I was getting dry and bald spots on my lawn so I went back to the contract to see what I was quoted and charged for. They installed 11 not ****************************************************************************************************** the mulch. I was never consulted or signed off on any change order to what I signed off on. When I approached them regarding this all I got was crickets. So I was charged for one thing and delivered another.Additionally, since they installed the system in November 2020 the piping in the sprinkler box has broken every single year! I have called and several times and their irrigation *************** has come out to fix it except for this last time.
