I had a ventless water heater and an air conditioner installed in early March 2022. I have since learned from another company that much of this work was done incorrectly. I am seeking reimbursement from Allied Services Co (**********************************).Total cost was $9,700.Date: 2022-03-06 Project: Replace air conditioner Work performed by: Allied Service Company ************ *** ************ Air Conditioner: ***** ******* Model *********** Serial ********** Paid: $3,900 Date: 2022-03-09 Project: Install tankless water heater Work performed by: Allied Service Company ************ *** ************ Water Heater: ******************* Corp. **************** ************ Model ******** *** Serial ************* Part No ********* Paid: $5,800 Another contractor has informed me that these are some of the problems with the work performed.Tankless Water Heater 1.Not securely attaching the tankless water heater to the wall.2.Not sealing the exhaust vent pipes.3.The gas regulator was not properly sized for the new tankless water heater.Air Conditioner 1.Not replacing evaporator coil and TXV (Thermostatic Expansion Valve) at the same time the air conditioner unit was installed on the roof. The existing evaporation coil was designed for R22 refrigerant, not 410a Puron.2.Not replacing the evaporation coil caused a mixing of refrigerants in the system. .The outdoor unit installed has a Puron R410a refrigerant. The existing indoor air handler has a Freon R-22 refrigerant. The mixture of refrigerant oils contaminated the system and is cause for premature failures. The indoor system should have been replaced at the same time to have a properly compatible system.It has/will cost me $17,166 to have the work done correctly.
