I paid $7,900 initial and $3,500 a month to have Zacharin fix our books, By the time I terminated them they were totally out of compliance and they did not follow the GAAP principles no depreciation on vehicles or assets. When we asked them about this we were told that to do that would be much more expensive. I paid them to do it right and not cheap! $8,000 and $3,500 a month and they hardly even spoke to me! They did spend a lot of time trying to talk me into hiring their CFO friend as a fractional accountant though. GAAP is General Accounting Practices and is the standard bookkeeping proceduresBusiness response

This client is complaining about a scop of work that was never in the terms of the agreement. We were not hired to do GAAP accounting. He communicated and signed our agreement for cash basis accounting, which was provided. The client also never communicated any issues or complaints prior to this and never provided and other documentation. This client gave no opportunity for discussion or an attempt for any resolution. All of his points of complaint were not within the scope of our engagement and were never brought to our attention. This complaint is not valid. We have reached out to the client several times and have made them aware that we are happy to resolve this issue, but instead they have just proceeded to write falst bad reviews and don't want to discuss further.Business response

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. 1. You hired us and signed an engagement for cash basis accounting. There was never any communication regarding needing GAAP accounting, which is completely different than cash or accrual accounting and is very rarely necessary for a small business, so your communication on this subject would have been vital. GAAP is not standard bookkeeping procedures. We did uphold to standard bookkeeping procedures with cash basis accounting according to our engagement. 2. Depreciation is typically recorded according to the tax return, however if you needed it recorded on a different schedule, that was also never communicated to us. Loan documentation was requested and never provided by you. 3. As soon as you sent an email, we replied immediately ready to jump on it and discuss. It is a normal process of accounting to have to review and make some changes after the review. We also communicated questions and sent monthly reports to you several times each month. You terminated the service without any communication and without giving an opportunity for any resolution or discussion. 3. The cost of the engagement is commensurate with the size and scope. You have two large companies with hundreds of transactions and a complicated scope. 4. There was no discussion of getting you to hire a 'CFO friend'. I am the owner and the only CFO; there is no 'CFO friend'. It's me who offered that we have a more in-depth engagement with monthly meetings and projections since you needed the assistance for a more succesful outcome. We care deeply about our clients and their success and are still and always willing to have a discussion, review the work and help you. We have a highly talented team that has offered and attempted to provide excellent service, but we are limited as to what we can do when there is a deficit of communication on the client's part. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
