I put a deposit on a dress on April 1,2022. The seamstress offered to keep the dress at the shop until then, which I took a very nice courtesy and agreed since it was just a month away to my next appointment. I went for my fitting on May 3,2022. At that appointment I noticed a very gross egg yolk like yellow stain on the train of my dress. When I brought it to their attention, I was told " oh we must not have seen that when you tried the dress on the first time." They had a shout wipe there and assured me the stain would come out. I paid the remaining balance on the dress like I had agreed. After losing sleep for about 14 days, I called the shop back to see if the stain had come out. I was told the dress was at the seamstress's home and she was going to take pictures and let me know. I received a text that the stain did not come out, but she would be trying another product and that if that didn't work, she could put an applique on the stain that matches the rest, and no one will ever know. She would not take any ownership that the dress was stained by SOMEONE in that shop. I texted her on the morning of May 31, to suggest a product that I could bring to the shop for her to try to get the stain out. she texts me back stain gone with a picture. I let her know I was so glad! Then she texts; do I have anyone else to do the alterations as she didn't feel comfortable doing them with the spot situation... saying she just wants me to be happy with the results.... now with 18 days to go I need to find a seamstress I want a full refund.
