This company is fraudulently trying to collect money from **** have sent them all the paperwork on identity theft and yet they are still refusing to try to collect from me and ruining my credit.i have and never will be living in a crack shack in their state.Business response

I've been paying over a $1,000 dollars for the past 10 years for Home Protection Plus Plan and my refrigerator broke down and all they can offer is up to $500.00 for a new refrigerator how can I get a new refrigerator for that much? I'm a veteran and I shouldn't be treated like that.Business response

Ive reached out to *** and spoken to a ***resentative on multiple occasions to dispute a bill that was $120+ over my typical monthly bill. On 9/10/24, I was told that someone would come out in person on 10/4/24 to read the meter; however, I received an email on 10/1/24 that the dispute had been resolved and the full amount is owed. When I called on 10/7/24 to follow up to see why somebody didnt come out to read the meter, I was told that there was no record of that request and no one was ever scheduled for an onsite reading. I further disputed the bill and requested somebody review the call recording from 9/10/24 and to follow up with me to verify that the *** had in fact told me someone would come onsite for a meter reading on 10/4/24. I was told I would get a phone call within a day or so, but Ive yet to hear anything. I am now receiving notification that my power is scheduled to be shut off on 10/22/24. Ultimately, I just want to understand this bill and have resolution so I can pay whats actually owed, but I am not getting any response or clarification from ***.Business response

To whom it may concern.I am back with a complaint on Dte on an ongoing situation I have with them. I reported this situation more than more than 10 times. I have been noticing flickering lights for about six months or longer. I will call the representatives Tell me that nothing is wrong. I am being charged what Im supposed to be charge. I filed a complaint on the Better Business Bureau. I received a call from Miss *******. She told me that she will send someone out. The First Dte *** comes out and he checks the meter states nothing is wrong with it. I noticed that my bill went down maybe $30 since I noticed that the flickering lights did not stop and my heat stop working. When miss ******* call back. I expressed to her that I was still having issues with flickering lights, and now my heat isnt working she sent someone else out. They came out and changed the box up under the meter. When I asked the *** that change the box, could that be the issue that my heat isnt working and my appliances? He stated that it could be the house isnt getting enough electricity to run things properly. The very next day Dte came out again and change the wiring from the house to the pole, My heat still isnt working its very cold will be winter time. My appliances are not working correctly. last complaint I filed I expressed. That I would like to speak with Miss Wakens boss or supervisor. Because the last I talk with her, she was very nonchalant about the situation and continuously started to talk about the bill when I stated to her that it was far beyond the bill at this point still no one has returned my call after that. I reached back out to *** . I spoke with Ally transferred me to ********, who said that she didnt see any notes of the situation. They got someone else out but that *** said everything on the outside was changed. And my system was Tripped by this I been seeing issues like this all over the news where all of those people appliances were destroyed due Dte issues.Business response

This is probably my 4th complaint about the lack of communication with DTE. I was put on a Shut Off Protection plan in June. There were some errors on ***'s end and speaking with ***** ******, the plan was postponed until corrected. After months of confusion and correction, we were able to set a monthly budget and due date. The due date was set for 10/6. My last payment was in June. I was told by Ms. ****** not to pay anything in those months because she and I both were waiting for my plan to get "fixed" and updated. So what happens when you go months without paying a bill. It continuously goes up. I emailed ********* in September and October about the payment and never got a response back. I called her *************) and my call did not go through. As I waited for a response back from Ms. ****** that as of today, October 16--I never received, once again I have been removed from the Shut Off Protection Plan. The lack of communication from staff is geting old and it is very unprofessional. I would like a phone call back from anyone who can assist me and I would like my bill reduced/put back on the ****Business response

I requested a new *** gas service for a new home on January 9th 2024. Multiple attempts to contact ******** ********** with no response, emails and calls for over 6 months. Was able to get a hold of ****** luccehe and she started to get the process pushed forward in September. Now, still don't have a scheduled date of installation and it's mid October.Business response

Good Morning.This complaint is on dte energy again looking to talk to someone else outside Mrs. ******* from dte energy. maybe her boss. last she called me issue was not resolved. I expressed my concerns on here and all she asked me about was my bill. this is far beyond my bill at this point filed a complaint. and still nothing has been done. MS ******* WAS VERY Nonchalant about my issue she I would much rather speak to someone over her.Business response

I was put on a payment arrangement to try and catch up from when I was not working, they are expecting me to pay upwards of 2k a month and it's just not possible. I missed qualifying for ********** by 200 dollars so not sure how they find that reasonable. I make about 2700- 3000 a month with a mortgage and 3 kids so I call to redo plan and told it's not possible and that if I miss payment I will need to pay 5000 to restart I'm basically set up to failBusiness response

Hello Im back again. Ive reported my issues to Dte so many times and they have came out to my home a total of four times, however issue still not resolved. Lights still flickering and now my meter is doing something funny. Also my heat isnt coming on at all. I expressed these issues to a supervisor who did not want to get on the phone when I called in. I was told that I would have to hire someone and fix the issue myself. After being told that the box that they changed by the Dte worker was the reason my heat wasnt working. They changed the box it worked for a total of a hour and stopped. Mrs. ******* gave me a call the first time and got someone out. The second report I filed on here she just called and repeated what she said on the first call. Some how we got disconnected and she never called back. With the weather changing I need this issue resolved. Im going to keep complaining and reaching out to the news until this is handled the correct way. Its now way I have to keep doing thisBusiness response
