      The tree hackers sent by DTE did not take care of the grapevines that are now wrapped around the transformer in our yard, that we called DTE about last summer. They broke a fence and left in. The hacked a tree that my father planted almost to death. They left lumber and debris all over the work site. They started to hack into the crown of a very old Red Oak and used very unsafe work practices such as tossing a pole-pruner up to a person hanging from the red oak, several times before it was caught. They didnt disinfect the pruning tools between the trees thereby potentially spreading disease. They sent an arborist several weeks after our initial complaint who was alot of talk and no action. Nothing has been resolved. They also dont mandate any of their workers to vaccinate against COVID and they are not safety oriented about anything. 1)Fix the fence 2) remove the grapevines 3) pick up your debris 4) Only vaccinated workers can work in our yard.

      Tree trimmers that DTE hired to do tree trimming around wires caused a main wire across the street to become lower because neighbor across the street had a phone line from that line pulled on their houses gutter and was hanging way down and the neighbor's phone line next door to us ended up lower and a truck pulling a small back hoe on a trailer caught the wire coming across the street and it snapped damaging our siding and pulling our gutter partially off the house. We have lived here almost 50 years and had not had an issue till the tree trimmers they hired were here. County graters, large delivery trucks come through here quite often and if that wire was an issue, this would have happened long before this time. I have contacted DTE and filed 2 complaints and talked to Kappan Tree Service who was hired by them and they are all trying to put the blame on the vehicle who pulled the wire that did the damage. It is their fault for whatever happened to the main line that these other 2 lines came off of. I have pictures of neighbor's line and damage to our house. My pictures are in an email and I developed them too. Don't know how to upload them to a file. I can email them to you or send in the mail

      I have lost power 3 times in the last 13 months, DTE always says it's due to weather conditions, but on November 11th, I had 2 major surges pop through my breaker box, that caused an outage that destroyed my furnace, fridge,stove and coffee pot, I was without heat for 3 days, lost everything in my fridge, and then was told this surge was due by DTE. There was no weather conditions on this day. I had to go through my house Insurance and pay a $1,000 deductible to get my furnace repaired, and had to buy new appliances, but had to wait for the ok from my insurance. I did call DTE when power went out and told them I could smell burnt wire, she informed me to call fire department, which I did, and they turned off the main power. I am upset that DTE never cam out and checked my wires after calling them and informing them of the situation. It's sad because we have no other option for electricity so they claim to be accountable for anything. They should have the decency to at least pay for my $1,000 deductible, and come check my wires, I still have a light that flickers.

      I am writing in as a formal complaint against DTE energy. I have been a customer of DTE for going on 3 years soon and have been overcharged substantially on my services. Currently, my new budget ***************** is $700!! It just went up from $285!!! Thats over 100% payment shock. Its outrageous. Ive tried getting this resolved numerous times and the representatives just keep insisting that its accurate. I requested so many times for somebody to come out and review my meter. Finally after many hours and time spent trying, somebody came out and left me with no answer. He said theres a chance that electricity is leaking underground as if its a running water faucet. I paid a private electrician a very hefty fee to come review every electric inch in my home and after assessment, even with all outlets and utilities/appliances on concurrently, it was mathematically impossible to reach even half of some of my astronomical bills that DTE is charging me. This new $700 budget payment is my average according to several team members who keep insisting that theres nothing wrong and this is how much electricity I use. Some bills showed us using ******************************* 1 cycle! We are just a husband, wife, and newborn! We dont have anything that is capable of using this much electric if we had it running 24/7. The representatives will not listen, and when you try and break things down they backtrack, or very rudely just insist on talking over me or transfer to someone else. We are losing thousands and thousands of dollars as a very small family with minimal usage of electric. We are not a business or entertainment center. We are prepared to take matters to court if we are not independently reviewed by a representative of DTE who has a good sense of professional judgement of whats going on and can fairly determine how much weve overpaid. Weve lost a lot as a family while trying to keep up with this fraudulent and aggressive billing. We cant take it any more.

      Multiple power outages. Rain or shine. Most often during perfect weather conditions. Always at the same exact physical location. Witnessed many times. DTE equipment in that area needs replacement, not repairs. DTE is aware and many in my neighborhood have complained multiple times. Nothing is done except we receive letters and phone calls from DTE promising to fix the problem. I've lived in my neighborhood over four years. Tired of freezing, or sweating, throwing out food and having pets die. Many folks here are on oxygen. Some have infants. We lose power far too often. We need assistance.

      hello we are a retail business that took over a old unit in a large plaza previous tenant was a dollar store that had coolers our location does not have heavy power usage but we are being charged like industrial pricing.our account # is ************ we have been getting very high billing and we own multiple properties and businesses that do not come close to this.we have 210 24w led tubes that run for 10 hrs a day and 4 computers. the space is **** sq ft and we use gas for heating the place not electric i do not see why this **** is high. when we took over the place in august or mid august we did not have all the lights on as we were just doing clean up work and we still received a **** for ******* also we have had flickering in the power for some time untill middle to end of November when we contacted dte to come out and look and they came 1 time did not find any thing. then came a 2nd time and found a loose wire by our panel.
