On May 9, 2024, the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Corporations, Securities & Commercial Licensing Bureau issued a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist and an Order of Summary Suspension against DJ'S Taxi LLC, for violating the Limousine, Taxicab, and Transportation Network Company Act, MCL 257.2101 et seq. (the "Act") based on its failure to require and maintain and refusal to provide the Department with complete copies of required documentation to maintain a license in good standing. Required documentation included background checks, driver logs, and other pertinent information to ensure consumer safety.
The company reached an agreement on July 17, 2024. The company agreed to maintain and share the required documentation and pay a fine of $799.00 to restore their license. The BBB has confirmed that the license is in good standing. Consumers may check the status of any occupational license in the State of Mi at: Accela Citizen Access
